The country is trillions in debt, there are wars going on around the world... elections are taking place, thousands upon thousands are being stabbed, shot etc.... and in latest world news... you talk about some teenagers.. running?
I'll tell you right now, I'm impressed. This required some thought. Spontaneous or planned, it's amazing this happened.

if you look at what is considered latest world news in this forum ... this rates as just as important. they caused panic. they would have affected the businesses in the mall who are probably doing it tough.
I love the way some people think that Americans who carry guns will shoot at anything that moves. Do you bash unruly teens with a baseball bat?

My brothers an I would have been grounded til we reached 21. Who would DARE act like an ass in public?
In some US cities they have youth mobs of over 40 youth that crowd a 7-11 and take anything they want and then leave the event takes about 2min., and they can do about $300+ in theft. They also have some smaller youth mobs of 10 to 20 that work the back street of the Strip in Las Vegas and beat up and rob single tourist that they target for sport. Their goal is not to get caught. And they have been very successfull for the past 4 years. No jobs and no money lead to assault for cash. They recon casinos and then follow them back to the streets. It's like hunting. Often times the mark will lose money. They wait for the winners which take a long time, sometimes all week end.
First I saw those flash mobs happening was in Myrtle Beach during Black Biker Week.. some 18 years ago.
agree. teenagers have always run amok to some extent, but when their behaviour starts to interfere with people going about their normal daily business it is really over the top.
Flash mobs are different than youth mobs, they operate on the same premise. But the youth mobs do crime. and flash mobs do youtub for fun.
not necessarily. groups of kids hanging around with nothing to do will follow the leader ... if others start running they will join in too. if there's a brawl, they all get involved. this was a mindless stampede through a shopping mall, with the opportunistic grabbing things out of people's bags.
From 20 to 50 kids from my Jr high would hit the drug store (no 7-11s in Colorado back then!) once in a while after school in fast raids to grab stuff. You would see trails of stupid stuff kids grabbed and then threw away down the street.
He was shot with a knife?? But I rather think this is in response to all those who tried to use the UK teens death as an excuse to push for more guns
Sometimes you really really wish for the good old days when those kids could be just given a good swift kick in the pants
tell you what - I am getting SUPER grumpy in my old age. Yobbish behaviour is getting way over the top. there are some basic things we used to learn .... like consideration for others. sure. you'd get high spirits and run amok sometimes, but you would never INTENTIONALLY do things to annoy total strangers ... unless they did something to you.
You know what I really can't stand? Gobbing People who spit It makes me shudder and I cannot help but think of all those TB bacteria on the loose and spreading from person to person
