It can be. a loin chop with the rind on can be an experience spoken of by the gods in my opinion. We seem to be breeding a leaner type of pig now in view of animal fat intake.

Junk food is the cause of obesity. We consume 3,800 calories a day and should be consuming about 2,300. Its simple math.

Have you ever been pregnant? If so maybe you are one of the lucky ones who are the svelte type who are 103 when they get pregnant and 103 right after.. Doesn't happen often. If you haven't had a child don't talk.

Genetics has a lot to do with gaining weight easy. Although the type of obesity we are seeing in people now days are from the diets and not genetics. People are so into junk foods, convenience foods and processed foods they have forgotten or never learned to eat properly. Exercise is also important in order to stay fit.

Simple solution...eat less...exercise appropriately for your intake. Easy to say hard to do though

When my wife got pregnant I watched her body change significantly then, I was there during childbirth and couldn't believe women actually LIVE through that!!! (One was a ceasarean :omfg:) I saw the whole thing!! Held her hand throughout. After that, I realized that whatever her body type changed to was a rather insignificant thing. Whatever I have experienced seems rather insignificant.

Of course, it takes will power, like anything else. Well worth the effort though.

Sorry, some athletes and adventurer types consume more than that and they're skinny as rakes. The ONLY thing that causes us to gain weight is output not matching input. Doesn't matter how much each is, as long as they're matched (or output exceeds input).

Three times, actually. I was 45kg before each baby, went up about 8kg during pregnancies, and back down to 45kg soon after. I ate like a horse during all three pregnancies (I never had morning sickness .. still don't know what that feels like), and worked a hard physical day right up until each baby was born. We lived self-sufficiently on a farm, with horses, dogs, chickens, crops, etc. I rarely sat down.

Nope. Nothing to do with it.

You're lucky. Morning sickness is horrible. I think some women are genetically programmed to have good, trouble free pregnancies.

You don't know what they're doing at home. Lots of beer, maybe. Lots more sitting down. It's entirely tied to their actions. It's not genetic magic.

I had an 'expert' in such matters tell me it's because I went into my first pregnancy without any expectation of getting it, and then stayed busy. She thought I was 'too busy to notice', in other words.

Yes, but they are burning massive numbers of calories, some even 5,000 calories. This takes an immense amount of exercise beyond the healthy level and can even result in damage over time.

Its very easy to eat 1000 calories of extra food, just pop into a McDonalds. A can of Coke alone is 200 calories. The most efficient burning method is running and you have to run 10 miles to burn off 1000 calories. Running 10 miles a day is risky and can wear down your joints over time.

Instead of trying to run 10 miles a day, just eat junk food only occasionally and make sure you eat healthy real food every day like we used to. Its that simple. Also 30 minutes of exercise a day is recommended for health and reducing weight even further.

Bullpucky. A few years ago I found myself 10-20 pounds overweight, whereupon I proceeded to cut my food intake in half for a couple months, after which I weighed what I weighed in high school. No "will power" or effort involved. Why would there be any effort involved in eating less?

And even if will power were anything but a myth, it would only make sense to employ it against an opposing will, and any effort so expended is essentially strychnine for the soul.
