We see the leftists complain about the Koch brothers all the time. And we see the right complain about Soros. I guess you really dont know nearly as much as you think you do.

Dyad is right, there is no such thing as libertarian capitalism.

    Harry Binswanger:

“In the philosophical battle for a free society, the one crucial connection to be upheld is that between capitalism and reason. The religious conservatives are seeking to tie capitalism to mysticism; the “libertarians” are tying capitalism to the whim-worshipping subjectivism and chaos of anarchy. To cooperate with either group is to betray capitalism, reason, and one’s own future.”

Ayn Rand: “Above all, do not join the wrong ideological groups or movements, in order to “do something.” By “ideological” (in this context), I mean groups or movements proclaiming some vaguely generalized, undefined (and, usually, contradictory) political goals. (E.g., the Conservative Party, which subordinates reason to faith, and substitutes theocracy for capitalism; or the “libertarian” hippies, who subordinate reason to whims, and substitute anarchism for capitalism.) To join such groups means to reverse the philosophical hierarchy and to sell out fundamental principles for the sake of some superficial political action which is bound to fail. It means that you help the defeat of yourideas and the victory of your enemies.”

A mind, like many of his ilk, arguing for regulation in the name of free markets. It must be the offspring of that 4-headed-monster, Conservatism. (Reagan, the Bushes, Trump).

    So you feel entitled.

Regardless of political or economic system, you are a collectivist. One that prioritizes the needs of many over the ambitions of individuals.

The problem is, this country has proven that by prioritizing the ambitions and economic liberty of the individual, the collective benefits from opportunities and economic growth.

You want healthcare, education, some arbitrary standard of living? Get off your ass abs go get it. Stop feeling like you are entitled to those things by taking from others for collectivist platitudes.

"I'm not a socialist, ...and I demand a living wage." There's a contradiction somewhere in that thought,

The average age of the members of this forum must be over 50, I dare say. (which means, your mindset is so behind the times.)
Can you pull a survey on the age of the members?

I didn’t know reason, liberty, and capitalism had expiration dates. Aren’t they like truth and justice, eternal? But I guess your right, where there once was an Age of Reason, there is now the Age of Entitlement.

Is the cry of today’s youth “Feed me. I’m hungry”

You are correct; we are not a democracy, we are a democratic republic.

I’d add a qualifier. I think it sucks, too. But it’s also a smashing success. It is working exactly as intended.

    I'm 40.

By the age of 32, I had served an 8 year contract in the military, completed college, obtained a state license to practice, started my own firm, owned an investment property and bought a house, and had been working since 15.

You're right, it's a generational problem. Your generation is lazy and entitled. I would be willing to bet you are self loathing millenial. The problem is THAT generation, not the ones that came before you or are coming after you.

    Nobody owes you ****.
