It's why the righties hate us liberals. They don't feel like they contribute anything. And they don't make money because they are stuck down there in the bottom 50%. Yet for some reason they stick with spanky. Interesting article in Friday's WSJ about the differences in parties. The data is by party district. Share of GDP - Dem 63.6% Share of jobs in finance and insurance - Dem 64.3% Share of jobs in mining and agriculture - Rep 60.5% Population density - Rep. ~400. Dem. ~ 1200 Education (Share with bachelors or higher) Rep. 27%. Dem 35%. Median household income. Rep. ~53K. Dems. ~63K I guess we can see why the problems are viewed differently. That's because most Americans were then part of the middle class. And most people never really liked the New England rich snobs. Especially Dwight Eisenhower. The Rockefeller Republicans should have seen the writing on the wall.
Any country that is dependent on trade and can't produce the food and goods required for its own citizens isn't really a free nation.
Yep. It's a global economy now. It's not a matter of not being able to produce to take care of our citizens. The problem is we only need half as many people if we don't sell to others. Edit: We are already starting to see it with the expansion of automation.
And what the globalist aren't telling you or those who live in industrial nations like America, Canada, Japan. UK and western Europe, for globalism to work the entire world has to be on a level playing field. Since the developing countries and the shithole countries will never reach having a living standard compared to America or western Europe, the living standards in the developed countries like America, UK or Japan have to be lowered to level the globalist playing field. This is where open borders and allowing the free movement of people comes in. For globalism to succeed, the world has to be one big shithole.
Not true. The thing that needs to be done is to move those jobs into better ones. Think about it like what happened during the industrial revolution when farmers became factory workers.
