Right so lets face it, allowing 11 million immigrants who broke the law to live and work in this country is an amnesty. I am very liberal minded by the way but i refuse to accept this Bill. What the law makers are telling americans is we can't enforce the law because its currently too hard to do so. Make no mistake there are people here who should be granted the right to stay but this so called path to citizenship bill is a joke. Its clear people who obey the law are not so bright, people who are waiting in line overseas do not get a chance to stay here for ten years while their case is dealt with. I predict another amnesty in the next few decades, guess what some legal path for getting green cards such as the siblings route, family route and the greencard lottery are being scrapped to make way for illegals. Good job gang of eight.
Humanity ultimately would not put up with punishing people instead of corporations using them. The corporations do not want the publicity, so, amnesty.
