Well I will give him this he tells us everything. I have never seen a list this long with actual stances outside of web sights dedicated to voting information. https://www.yang2020.com/policies/
I've been on that site before. That is certainly a big list. Now if only he would do a short video on some of them, explaining himself, then more people wouldn't have to do searches on YouTube and wade through 12-30 minute videos looking for other explanations of topics other than his big 3: medicare for all, UBI, and a human centric capitalist economy.
Here is Bernies https://berniesanders.com/ he does not even try. I guess he just assumes we all know what Democratic Socialism is.
Well, have you read his book on why he says what he is saying? I do not agree with a lot of his proposals but he does include how he is going to pay for things with his main proposal. Which is a nice change from the magic pixie dust we get from the Green New Deal folks.
Looking at some of Yangs platform, his platform is obvious a national security disaster. He must be a loony liberal.
He goes after the top 4% hard and it is strange as most of his biggest financial supporters are the tech industry. he plans to lessen the income tax and rely on more of a sales/Vat tax that the super rich such as besos would have a much harder time avoiding. Very unusual for a dem who have historically seen sales taxes as regressive.
Why? he makes a much stronger commitment to our historical allies than the other dems and Trump, specially Israel. And is much more non interventionist than most on either side.
Look at the Yang's platform on the military. I think it would result in a national emergency of a major recruiting problem. Soldiers and Marines wouldn't be happy warriors if they had to turn in their rifles for shovels and were filling pot holes on our highways instead of training for war. The U.S. military is suppose to be in the war business not nation building.
A VAT tax on the big technology companies, like Amazon and Google. And, to bring down the price tag, also making people choose between the $1000 a month and their welfare program, it's an either not both.
Solving for simple poverty in a market friendly manner Must increase market participation under our form of Capitalism.
It's under "MODERNIZE MILITARY SPENDING" ...-> https://www.yang2020.com/policies/rechannel-military-spending/
New cities in more optimal locations could solve several socio-economic issues while greening our environment and enable sustainable harvesting of natural resources.
Just his pathway to citizenship policy rules him out for me He gives is a list of wants But what is he willing to settle for and give in return? https://www.yang2020.com/policies/pathway-to-citizenship-2/
An empty city in china Central planning china style? They do a lousy job of it and something tells thier liberal American cousins would do no better https://www.businessinsider.com/these-chinese-cities-are-ghost-towns-2017-4
Why is it lousy to plan that way. They understand that with farming mechanization and the migration of the young to the cities they put the infrastructure in place rather than build suburban sprawl as in the US. This is long range strategic actions that can be taken when you don't need to worry about the next quarter bottom line
