It took all of 77 years--more than three-quarters of a century--for another Brit to win at Wimbledon. But it has now come to pass.

The Number Two seed, Andy Murray (from Scotland), defeated the Number One seed, Novak Djokovic (from Serbia), 6-4; 7-5; 6-4.

All three sets were highly competitive; so it seemed like a very close match.

Still, in the end, it was a straight-setter.

And the long drought for Britain is now over...

Perhaps Murray will become less of a snarling, whiny head case now.
