Actually you, and your engineer in FL, have no idea of what KSA is all about. BTW, your Iranian teacher is most likely Shia - Sunni's, particularly Wahhabists, actually hate Shia Muslims more than they do non Muslims.....which is why organizations such as ISIS and Al Qeada are Sunni, practicing the Wahhabist sect....

I see. But you the wise all seeing cloaked poster know all about this. By the way, is is time for you to return to the topic.
This guy, the engineer probably would not like him being called my pal. I once asked him to quit mailing me. I could ask him what he knows rather rely on your biased views. I never was in a class taught by Sia and I know he was once a Shia. He told me. Frankly little of this matters to this forum. It is a distraction off the topic.

Oh Robert, I know you are getting older but that doesn't give you license for BS. I don't care if the engineer is "your pal". How would he know what "my views are"? I never said you were taught by a "Shia", what I said was your Iranian friend was probably a Shia Muslim....

Europe is going to be a Muslim Caliphate within 30 years. It's high time we realize we can no longer save them and sadly they will eventually be our enemy.

So they're dragging it out for as long as possible then, while 4 of the other members - including and especially the US ? - are subsidising them? Very principled, I must say!!

But none of them have a $20tr national deficit like the US has. They could afford to pay if they had the inclination.

The US leverage is to just leave, we don't need it.

They'd soon pay up if you threatened to do that. This is what they're saying: 'Hey, if the yanks are stupid enough to keep subsidising us, why should we pay?'

Indeed. Like I keep saying, he's a bit rough around the edges, but contrary to popular opinion he's certainly no fool.

Re-read what I said. IF Hitler had chosen NOT to invade Russia but England instead, I think he would have had a very easy time of rolling over England in short order.

Obama inherited an illegal war. . .and he followed on the plan to withdraw troops. You may not remember, but he would have left more troops, but the conditions set by Iraq (no legal protection for the US Troops that would have stayed) were not acceptable.

Germany is NOT free loading. And, the trade imbalance is just as much (if not more) the fault of the Americans who prefer to purchase German goods than to buy American!

...withdraw troops... [/quote] Yes, and the Administration declared it a "promise kept", and then ISIS arose in the vacuum.
Germany is free-loading, on defense and on trade.
The Euro is valued lower than the German Mark would be and they have deliberate policies that impede the purchase of American goods, by Germans.

But, in any case, meeting their NATO commitments is a step in the right direction, but if necessary a bit of a tariff would certainly begin to repay all that money they owe us.
