Your opinions are not facts, no matter how much you'd like them to be.

The field of psych generally (and it's associated hangers on, like psychology) has been compromised. Medicine also, to a degree.

And yes, science IS being abandoned .. in favour of 'better customer relations'.

I can't spell out my line of work, sorry, but it was the non-BS (therapy, psychology, etc) side of things. Specialising in a particular classification of client.

Oh yeah .. I have no idea. No 7 years of training, no working in a very difficult field, no nuffink. Just an innernet dumb-dumb saying stuff that I don't want to be true.

Its just a matter of time before we start to hear liberals screaming about the increase in rope violence. Or would that interfere with their infringements on our gun rights?

So what. That doesn't mean your personal opinion outweighs thousands of published papers on the subject. Are you a Ph,D.? Have you published?

Funny thing. The more a person is an actual expert on a given subject, the less confident they tend to be in their opinions.

I'm stating what I believe to be true, derived from many years of observation. And I now have the professional freedom (I'm quasi-retired) and internet anonymity to actually say it out loud.

Maybe .. are you finding your thoughts are going missing, then appearing as narratives in daytime soaps?

I certainly agree with that. "Science" has devolved into something less than it was in the past where theories had to be proven as indisputable. Now days, "science" basically sticks their finger in the air to see which way the wind blows by using statistical methods that are usually too complex to get accurate predictable outcomes. For these phony scientists today, the data analysis is the "truth." Or more likely, they begin with something they want to believe and then make the data fit the theory. It's ass-backwards.

The fallacious content of your posts exposes the lack of veracity when it comes to the subject matter so no amount of pretension to expertise is going to be worth anything at all.

Get back to us when someone murders 58 people and wounds 500 others in 10 minutes using just a rope.

Where did you come up with that fallacious idea?

Science is about disproving a hypothesis as opposed to stipulating that something is "indisputable"

Perhaps you have science confused with religion.

Grow up, learn something about science, and get a grip on reality.

Theories become scientific laws that are indisputable. That's NOT what is happening today. A theory remains a theory, otherwise.

Gotta love the IRONY of your PUERILE ad hom.

And to pile irony upon irony apparently you should take your own advice when it comes to learning about science and getting a grip on reality.

Then you COMPOUNDED the irony with the profoundly ignorant allegation that "Theories become scientific laws that are indisputable".

No, I am not going to try and point out all of the glaring flaws in that allegation. Instead I am going to just provide some links that EXPLAIN the scientific terminology that you are abusing.

I totally agree. Did you arrive at this truism thru personal examination?

seriously? you should take your own advice.

Seems you have no clue what is a general theory, a scientific theory and a scientific law. Why not get back to us all when you've studied up on these basic elements of science.

It's worse than that. There's now active suppression of properly determined science, when same is determined to be 'emotionally problematic'. It's much less offensive to your patient to tell them their depression isn't their fault, and is just some random act of god .. like a volcano. Telling them that their life choices may have led to the depression (what we used to do, when we went with the science), and an adjustment in lifestyle should improve the condition, is now considered outrageous. Give them the meds and tell 'em it's not their fault.

What does that have to do with suicide? You folks count gun suicide as 'gun violence' its totally hypocritical and idiotic if you don't count every other form of suicide equally...

You are the one moving the goal posts. You are the one trying to compare suicide with mass murder. I supposed saying you'll ignore me is better than admitting your intellectual dishonesty on the topic...
