VG: "I have never seen so much support for suspected terrorists in my life."
VG demonstrates - again - a contempt for the Constitution and all those who seek to defend it. He once stated that as a former soldier he took an oath to defend the Constitution. Here is concrete proof he has chosen to betray that oath.

He openly advocates for people to be denied fundamental rights without Due Process, and then proclaims that anyone condemning him for it is in league with terrorists. That's a page straight out of the totalitarian playbook and tells us all we need to know about the man's character... or lack thereof.

You could have taken that oath too and chose not to. You talk and talk....I showed up. You give speeches....I carried a service weapon. You post a lot....I stood a post. And therin lies the difference between us.

Simple answer: They don't. My ex-wife's cousin was a graduate student who was preparing to travel out of the country as part of an educational exchange program when he was stopped at the airport and denied the right to fly. He was stunned to find out it because he was on the terrorism watch list. He was an honors student who had never gotten so much as a speeding ticket, but somehow he got on the list. It took two years of legal wrangling to get it all straightened out, and by then he'd lost his opportunities for a series of scholarships and educational endowments that could have provided him some amazing opportunities. But people like VG are all for things like that, because personal liberties are things he finds abhorrent.

Lots of people never buy guns. If it never affects them and the FBI just monitors them and they can't get guns what is the problem?

that's a silly post. If they don't buy guns than they don't have an issue but if they want to buy guns, you think its ok to deny them their rights for mere suspicions

Why are they considered dangerous enough to put on a list of terrorism suspects if they're never going to buy guns? They must not be that dangerous, then, to be put on a list.

The follow on question what happens when they try to buy a gun?

the bottom line =he wants to punish gun owners because he thinks we don't vote for the same "enlightened" candidates he wants in office. This is all about political paybacks

I just applied for and received a basic care provider certification, I want to get back into healthcare, license etc....

A background check was required, I passed and someone I know failed, he never legally purchased or owned a gun, and he failed, why ? an assault lll conviction in 1976.

I told him we would make a trip to Court and look the conviction and walked him through the expungement process.
I saved him over a thousand dollars.
He had forgotten all about his conviction.

Its a watch list. The best way to stop terrorism sometimes is to let low level guys just be monitored. When they go to buy guns it pings the FBI and they can assess if the threat has changed. We need this if we are going to defeat terrorism

We all know anti gunners will distort facts, numbers, and words to suit their case. At this point in time they are even more desperate for attention. You people do your cause no good by responding to or encouraging the few trolls that haunt this forum. Best to discuss among ourselves and avoid encouraging those that seek to disrupt.
Think Neil Gorsuch and the near 150 federal judge appointments not to mention Ginsburg and Kennedy.
Sleep well at night knowing they are so pi$$ed they can't sleep.

he is right, gun control works exactly the way he intends it to work

    1) harassing lawful gun ownership

    2) hassling legal gun owners

    3) making violent criminals' lives safer

while waiting for you to post a link to your evidence that 'gun control works' (so i can tear it apart for you), heres some relevent facts that I challenge you to refute:

Firearms are not reliably traceable because identifying characteristics can be altered/removed with widely available tools.

The purpose of registration is to know 'where' (in whose posession) a firearm is at, and ensure thats its not in the hands of a criminal.

Registration is dependent on the ability to track a firearm (otherwise you cant know where its at).

Firearms are only trackable via their individual characteristics.

The individual characteristics of a firearm can be easily changed/removed by anyone.

Its illegal to change/remove the individual identifying characteristics of a firearm.

Criminals tend to not concern themselves with laws that they dont think they will get caught breaking.

Criminals will change/remove the identifying characteristics of their firearms.

Thus: Registration will not effect access of firearms to criminals.

Thus: Registration *only* serves to track firearms that REMAIN within the law abiding portion of the population (because the criminal can simply remove the identifying characteristics that registration relies upon to be effective).

Can you refute any of this? (I suggest backing up any refutation with reasoning if you seek to be taken seriously).

The same applies to cars and yet we register every car. Why? (And please don't bring up the bill of rights....it does not apply to this argument)
