This woman disrespected a constituent the other day by saying, "I'm going to work everyday until Trump is impeached? The constituent said I'm going to make sure you're impeached. I know she lives in dark blue district, but is their anyway she can get primaried by a sane democrat?
Won't happen. She's also as corrupt at they get. Case in point is Sheila Jackson Lee, who is as dumb as a rock and a major embarrassment to Houston. Yet the local Dems continue to support her. Even the liberal rag newspaper The Chronicle continues to endorse her year after year.
aunt jemima need a little dose of reality, Trump is president and she could make a difference by trying to rebuild the democratic party, but oh no she wants to be divisive.
At least we finally got rid of Corrine Brown down in Florida, a black male democrat defeated her, but I think he's an alright guy. I haven't heard anything bad about him.
Who Is Maxine Waters? “[Maxine Waters] is one of the most self-serving, hate-filled, race-obsessed politicians in America. [And] the Democratic Party doesn’t just embrace her. It kneels at her feet.” Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) has been in the news of late, due to accusations of ethics violations being leveled against her and investigated by the House Ethics Committee. While formal charges have yet to be announced, she is accused of inappropriately using her influence to get favorable treatment (i.e., a $12 million bailout in TARP funds) ..blah,blah blah, it's a liberal thing. She was found guilty of all chargers.... During the 1992 riots that devastated so much of the 35th District in South Central Los Angeles, the livelihoods of thousands of Waters’ constituents were ruined by looting and arson. Did Waters publicly condemn the violence or take the rioters to task? On the contrary, she tried to defend the criminals by renaming & reframing what happened. If you call it a riot it sounds like it was just a bunch of crazy people who went out and did bad things for no reason. I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable.” So, what did she call it? A “rebellion… a spontaneous reaction to a lot of injustice and a lot of alienation and frustration.” In case that wasn’t enough justification, Waters added some pathos with statements such as: There were mothers who took this as an opportunity to take some milk, to take some bread, to take some shoes. Maybe they shouldn’t have done it, but the atmosphere was such that they did it. They are not crooks.”...typical Marxist blah blah blah... What do the Beltway watchdogs think of Representative Waters? The Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) listed her among the corrupt members of Congress in its 2005, 2006, & 2009 reports. She has an affinity for earmarks, too. The Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) named her the June 2009 Porker of the Month... http://aviewfromtheright.com/2010/08/31/who-is-maxine-waters/
Can we also get rid of the Montana rep who body-slammed a reporter? And all the Republicans who have disrespected their constituents by basically telling them to **** off because they were upset about having their healthcare stolen?
It's not that, they are annoyed that the democrats will never give up this stupid "investigation" when we all know it's a partisan "investigation" I think it's time for them to move on with their lives.
She is very outspoken and is also quite popular in her district. She can probably keep winning there until she decides to retire.
She is right. She can't be impeached; nor can any member of Congress. I guess she's smart enough to make you all look dumb. She can be expelled.
She said something about Russians I think. Of course, she also said Russia was invading Korea so it's anyone's guess.
Anyway to get rid of Maxine Waters? Yep.....snatch her helmet off her head when she is in front of the cameras. Just sayin.
There are some pretty rough neighborhoods in the district, but also some very nice ones. Lawndale, Hawethorn, Southgate, Torrence and Lomita have some really nice old neighborhoods. However, it is pretty solid Democratic since the last redistricting. Waters is a very outspoken advocate for her constituents and quite popular.
No, she said "woman of Congress." http://www.theamericanmirror.com/maxine-waters-clashes-constituent-cant-impeach-member-congress/ And give Waters points for directly addressing the constituent even though they completely disagreed. She minced no words. I'm not particularly impressed by Waters in general, but consider this: she is the sort of person you get when districts are deep, deep blue or red. Which is why we need to draw districts by algorithm or nonpartisan commission. Get rid of gerrymandering, and you will get more purple districts where control can actually change hands if the incumbent isn't up the task.
