They are more likely to have friends from the other side of the political spectrum, more aversive towards marketing and have no partisan loyalties. Thoughts, opinions?

People are pretty stupid until they reach the age of 25 or so, get married, have a few kids, and pull down a real paycheck.

Young people have always been stupid and foolish, but this generation seems more stupid and foolish than previous generations. They voted to re-elect Obama, even though he's kept them unemployed and living in their parents' home for four years. Total morons who deserve their poverty and lack of a future to look forward to.

You do realize most people get their first job by the age of 18, 19 right? Young kids these days DO in fact have children at "young" ages and find partners early as well.

To the OP, I agree. I don't think young people see the world in terms of black and white like older generations have. They understand there is a like of grey area, and that allows conservation to flourish. We also have every bit of information known to man in our pockets.

That is true, and the one real major fault of our generation. We are lazy. Everything we could ever want is available at the ready. Just a few weeks ago I was upset that a package my mom sent from the East Coast took 3 WHOLE BUSINESS DAYS to reach me out here. lol.

By our standards Albert Einstein was an idiot as he struggled to perform basic life tasks. Also there is no such thing as intelligence. Humanity isn't intelligent.

Young people have much better access to information than we did , i mean back in the 70's and the 80's all we had was local/national media and the newspaper now you can speak with people from all over the world in real time . Dealing with complex issues , multitasking and be introduced to new things make people more intelligent .
People also evolve , in the last generations kids have increased issues with their teeth , this means that their jaws are getting smaller and the energy conserved from there is used elsewhere .

Millenials also are quick to abandon politicians.

They are probably just as dumb as previous generations of younger people, but they are lacking in the moral fabric.

America is going up in flames, nothing to do now but add gasoline.

I'm not sure that I would agree this makes for smarter voters. While it is true that information is much more readily available, it is also true that misinformation is also more readily available. Reading biased material doesn't make one more intelligent, it makes one more indoctrinated. In the world of politics, virtually EVERYTHING is biased.

How is America going up in flames exactly?

Yeah but they are more open to having friends with ideological disagreements.

According to whom? How is this quantified? I don't remember a time that people were particularly averse to having friends from both sides of the aisle.

Young people DO have children at a young age today. That doesn't make them smarter, it makes them absentee deadbeat bums. Not responsible, intelligent, parents.

All the info in the world doesn't make you smarter or wiser. Wisodm is the ability to effectively use infromation. In this regard todays 13 year olds are no better than any other generation of thirteen year olds that have ever been.

    As a
Millennial who has worked in marketing , I'd like to add some input

First, I believe our generation fails at marketing potential. Social media is a bubble and terrible way to Marie effectively. However, it has a large youth following and runs completely kids who sit in their dorms, smoke pot, and read Facebook all day. Social media is the ultimate harbor to those with no hope, potential, or purpose.

My marketing strategy involved radio and direct mail marketing. This proved to work the best because it reached professionals who had MONEY

Also, my generation is mixed on politics. We are indeed likely to abandon some politicians. This is because
Our generation is a collective mindset like group. We want to have friends and fit in. Politics is a great way to do that.

Look at Obama in 2008. His campaign was fueled by social media. The perfect strategy, I applaud his campaign team.

My generations greatest hope is the generation behind us. Incredibly bright children with highly developed skills already. I've seen this everywhere.

A little about me. I'm 24, moved to Montana to work and live outdoors, and savor he life
Outside politics and media. Pretty typical for someone from my generation.

    Cheers
