    At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.​

    So unfortunately for you, your VP nominee Harris is NOT a "natural-born" citizen, but instead a citizen "alien" or "foreigner;" having been born on US soil, but to "alien," or "foreign" parents.

    From kindergarten through college it's been taught that anyone in America can grow up to be president of the United States, but it was never true, and never will be true; other than by constitutional amendment.

    The requirements for president are so simple, yet so misportrayed. They are this:

    (1) Being 35 years old or older.
    (2) Having been born on US soil to citizen parents.
    (3) Having been a resident of the US for 14 years.

    Period. End of story.

    You still haven't conceptualized it yet, have you? Both of Trump's parents were US citizens when Trump was born on US soil, so therefore Trump is a natural-born citizen; having been born on US soil to citizen parents.

    Regarding the others, like Trump, you have to look at whether or not the parents were US citizens when their offspring were born, not whether or not the parents were born on US soil or not.

    I hope this has been helpful to you on your quest for knowledge on the subject of "natural-born" citizenship.

    I'm not fond of Harris, but I'm more concerned about Trump actually having the presidency than someone else being close to it. 4 years is 4 years too much of a man like Trump.

    It doesn't surprise me that the Dems would nominate an alien for VP. The Dems platform is founded upon anti-Americanism, whereas the natural-born citizen clause is founded upon pro-Americanism.

    Those who rail against the natural-born citizen clause do so because of their own racism, their own sexism, and their own anti-Americanism. Those who support the natural-born citizen clause do so because of their pro-Americanism; and not by color or gender as the Dems do.

    I Support The Natural Born Clause
    and would define geography where ever the
    after birth went "ploop" on the floor or caught.
    Maybe exception for military deployed personnel.

    meet the requirements of the "P" ?

    I derived the word "alien" from this Supreme Court ruling of 1875. So perhaps they didn't have the same "political correctness" that is demanded from us today.

    "The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first."

    She was born to alien parents, one from Jamaica and the other from India. She is not a natural-born citizen of this country, and is the exact type of person the founding fathers were trying to keep out of the highest office in the land.
