Did you guys not see Trump divest himself of running all his holdings and turn the control to his kids, it was on the news or did mainstream media miss it?

For decades now America has held itself up as the epitome of civilisation - the acme of political accomplishment

Sorry but when you strut around with no clothes on I AM free to tell you your tackle is hanging out

    - - - Updated - - -

He still has significant sway over those holdings and the distance was not far enough - previous presidents have used a "blind trust"

History will describe this as the K-Mar presidency.

The trump family is nothing but a bunch of cheesy hustlers.

(I clicked the wrong button. Ethics should apply, certainly.)

Well, your post would be a bit more honest if you had included the fact that George W Bush also had a program in place to sell guns to dealers. Here’s a quote from the article. A link is provided below.

“A program similar to Fast and Furious did go forward under the Bush administration in 2006 and 2007. That program, called Operation Wide Receiver, also attempted to track suspicious weapons. Allowing gun sales to go forward even when the ATF had probable cause to believe the sales were unlawful has come to be known as “gun walking.”
    ====

And then, Old Senile Reagan, was caught secretly selling arms to Iranian terrorists. That was in all the newspapers, I’m surprised you forgot about that huge fiasco. From the article. Link provided, below:

“The list of the “other… more important ” aspects of the sordid story that became known as “Iran-contra” scandal is a long one but worth recalling 25 years later. The Reagan administration had been negotiating with terrorists (despite Reagan’s repeated public position that he would “never” do so).Nov 29, 2011”

Trump is an American and a Christian...He was raised in the American culture. American ethics are ingrained in him. Not like Obama who was from Kenya and educated in a Muslim Madrassa. A different country and a different culture. What was the point of the OP anyway?

Perhaps someday you will join the rest of America and drop the Birther/Muslim garbage championed by your man crush and maybe even understand Obama is not the President anymore. The point of the OP was intended to highlight and discuss the promotion of personal and individual wealth within the Presidents family and himself through the power and influence of the White House.

    "Retail White House"?

I got news for you. The WH has been a retail hotspot for decades, both parties tend to put on the shop keep outfit once they "win" it.

There is no promotion of individual wealth in fact, it cost Trump to run. Where are you getting this? NPR? ABC? CBS? MSMBC?

All this leads to evidence of pocket lining, or profiting from being POTUS?

#'s 1 & 2 on your list BTW, are of course slaves to personal opinion, & agenda. Hardly unbiased.

I posted a couple of links in my original message. You can also use Google if you want to learn more about them. There are loads of articles about these programs.

Here's a link to a very short, balanced, piece. These efforts, one run by GW Bush, the other by Obama's people, as always, turned into a partisan food fight. Unfortunately, our government is now dysfunctional that way. Everything turns into a fight and nothing positive ever seems to get done that would be good for the country.

There will be a kiosk in the White House for Ivanka's merchandise or maybe they will strip the Lincoln bedroom and make it a boutique.....and a yard sale on the lawn.....anything to make a buck...

I am not sure there is anything illegal about it, but then again he would have to bend over backwards to trump Hillary's $100K teas.

Like selling copies of It Takes A Village or renting the White House bedrooms like a Motel 6?

To be honest, these aren't "bad" ideas.

Hell at many times in the past, the WH & the Grounds, have served in more odd capacities.

    I'd expand that thinking.

Instead of a solid southern border wall, have large sections solidified by a wall, but add more secure crossings, with toll booths. $0.50 an axel ought to do nicely.

Ethics?! How about "ethics" that Obama gave us with monstrous, multi-million dollar scams like Solyndra?

"Global warming"... "green-energy"... "carbon taxes"? You want more of THAT kind of socialistic crap? Then, sure, vote for Democrats every chance you get! Then, twist your poor, already warped mind even more and blame REPUBLICANS when your (*)(*)(*)(*)ing utility bills triple as you watch even more taxpayer money given to scam-artists who push this unproven "touchy-feely" idiocy! :omg:

Absolutely yes. This is far better than the Clinton's and most politicians way of selling votes, rather than tangible products. At least people get something out of it.

Junk polls like this that give no option except agreeing with the premises of the OPer posting it should removed as they are fundamentally just baiting. The point gives no option of answering yes to the question of the OP message, which is not the poll question.

And yet the solar industry is now employing more people than the coal industry

It's true! Here, let me help you with a link: http://fortune.com/2015/01/16/solar-jobs-report-2014/ . Bear in mind, however, that many more coal-fired energy plants power American cities than any kind of stand-alone solar plants. Also, if you compare numbers of workers in solar ventures with the oil and gas industry, it almost doesn't even register. Oil and gas are enormous, and will remain so until we finally develop hydrogen fusion as an energy source. Solar? It, and wind will probably never be more than ancillary, supplemental energy sources -- until hydrogen fusion totally replaces everything else, and oil is nothing thereafter but a manufacturing material, and a lubricant....

BUT, why have you so deftly sidestepped the issue of ETHICS? Obama was hand-in-glove with the Solyndra hucksters and fraud-artists who made off with hundreds of millions of American taxpayer dollars. Obama's "retail White House" gets a pass, but you and your cohort on the Left speculate about what kinds of crimes Trump might commit...? That's what's known as "situation-ethics". It's also known as HYPOCRISY....

I hate to ruin your day, but just google "Obama promotes solyndra" and remember what a real, factual criminal fraud looked like....

The side effects of making a businessman as a President,
Well, he could serve both I guess, make America and his Family Great Again.
    A win2x situation for him.
Quite apparent when he commented about Nordstrom and Ivanka.
