If healthcare is a human right, and Bernie gets to control how healthcare is distributed.... Who owns the health care industry?

Let's say there's a car in your driveway. My job is to tell you who's allowed in the car, how, when, and where you can drive the car, who maintains the car, how much you can be paid for letting someone use the car.

Do you think you own the car in the driveway?

 

If a free college education is a human right, and Bernie gets to control the colleges, who owns the college industry?

 

To much "Children dying" for starters! Then followed by "Free stuff" lots of free stuff and then "Keep the gun from law abiding" or Classify law abiding citizens as lesser deserving of their right to bear arms then criminals. And finally take money from the rich!

Pretty much everything I dislike with the socialism and the current leftwing socialist movement we see creeping around us today..

 

In order to control how goods and services are exchanged, you have to take ownership of the goods and services being exchanged. Otherwise people would simply continue to trade those goods and services in ways that they prefer.

 

I’m sure all the children starving to death in Venezuela will be happy to learn that socialism protects the children.

Right here in this thread socialism apparently protects children by promoting adults that drag them through a rapist infested desert where they are likely to be sold to the highest bidder to increase the likelihood of entry into the US.

Defense of all Universal Human Rights is an integral part of American Socialism. They cannot be separated. You cannot defend that the right to healthcare is universal, for example, without defending that the right to life is also universal.

 

That's a fair point because of the way I worded it. But it just got too long. What I'm asking is what happens to people (including children) who are sick and can't afford healthcare? If you answered "No" to the previous question, you might believe that the government should not ensure that they are cared for which, in many instances, is equivalent to a death sentence (that would be a "yes" in 1b). Or you might believe that, even though healthcare is not a right, the government should intervene anyway (a "no" on 1b).

Republicans! There is a lawsuit in the court system that would do exactly that.

I meant American citizens. All of them.

It doesn't matter who provides it. The important thing is that the government takes the necessary steps to make sure it's provided.

That's absolutely true. And, for that reason, I am here defining what it means today to Democrats. And I took it from the Party platform and the pre-candidates' proposals.

Communism, unlike socialism, is very well defined. You would require extreme ignorance to not know what it is. So extreme that I don't believe it's not feigned.

What libs say is that if what you say is the case, then it should also be the case that a woman with 35 years of experience with stellar annual reviews and twice named "national air traffic controller of the year" should earn $120K. And a man with 5 years experience and average annual reviews should get $60K

We are closer to this then we were before Obama. But not quite there. In any case, this is what Socialism advocates.

That's how it's always worked for me! I've always worked jobs with seniority and step raises, and at a point we all made max amount regardless of years worked, sex, color, party affiliation or religious preferences.. We were all simply grunts waiting to here what are yearly wage increase "Cost of Living" was going to be..

So what you're saying is that nobody in the Democratic Party... not Sanders, not Warren.... nobody....is actually a socialist. Given that none of them advocates for what you defined as "socialism"

 

Was this intentionally obtuse? I'm clearly talking about the argument that there is some sort of wage inequality. The methodology that is used to support the claim that there exists some sort of inequality between male wages and female wages do not control for these metrics.

Instead, wages are aggregated across entire professions without regard. It is not to be expected that the total number of employed females should earn the same total salary as the total number of employed males, but that is what the wage gap suggests should be true.
