If the gentlemen is telling the truth and he is an Iraq and Afghanistan combat veteran, I will be the first to apologize. The burden of proof is on Mr. Simmance however and a passport is not sufficient evidence given the plethora of documents and materials that could more easily prove his case. His own family and close friends even have doubts.
You would think some of his combat buddies would come to his defense. Never the less, the Purple Heart and other awards are the key. They are issued when you are wounded and there is detailed paperwork that can be researched. Where is it?
