Already fans are making excuses for this guy and his cohorts. He was a great hero but it seems to me he lost his honor when he joined up with these thugs. Hope he gets it back. How much money does one person need anyway? Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely ,and athlete's have too much power over this salad bowl.

in Spain we have soccer matches every Sunday, they don't play the national anthem unless the opposing team is foreign (then both their anthem and Spain's is played). I don't see why such a custom couldn't apply in the US. Evidently the anthem is offensive to many (most?) US football players, so don't play it unless confronting a foreign team.

This kneeling at the anthem aims to express disapproval for perceived discriminatory police practices and generally racism. To me the US seems a very racially tolerant country with plenty of legal protections against racism, lots of integration, discrimination is a personal thing by individuals, there's recourse and many institutions ready, willing and able to fight anyone found to engage in such practices. Folks who think there is too much discrimination in the US would wisely consider how this is dealt with elsewhere (consider the Rohingya in Myanamar).

Another thing to consider is the 'platform'. This message is reaching a diminishing audience, tens of millions of viewers have left the audience since Kaepernick kneeled, those huge football salaries are jeopardized with a dwindling audience, ratings are down, advertisers cancelling, sponsors withdrawing.

It appears that you are obsessed with certain body parts. Let me kindly remind you that this is a political forum, people joined this forum to debate politics. Perverts aren't welcome here.

Then what are you doing here if this is a political debate forum since you obviously are a failure a debating but are prone to attempt to insult your fellow members. You should know that we all can insult famous, infamous people and politicians but not our fellows members.
