Exactly how did Trump 'cancel a sick baby's insurance' when the parents are the ones who carry the insurance? Saying they would 'take care of the baby's medical bills' and reneging after being sued by said same parents, is not the same as cancelling someone's insurance. That article covers anything and everything about the entire Trump family, as far as I read.

If you made a generous offer to someone, and because they got mad and spiteful over money, would YOU be inclined to still grant the same offer? I highly doubt it.

I wonder if you would apply the same 'spoiled child' label to previous Presidents, who have received nothing but the very best of everything in their lives, earned or not, who have no comprehension of what the common man goes through. Have we had a poor, or even middle class, President? Nope, not since 250 years ago, I would think.

Trump, as a businessman, has been though a number of failures and bankruptcies. I don't recall him standing with his head in shame, but neither did he let it stop him from trying again. Perhaps that is what has been missing from our previous POTUS', the understanding of failure.

Now we find out that the actual transcript was "locked down" and is far longer than the White House led us to believe..

There's nothing to defend. Just a bunch of nonsense coming from people who lost all credibility with that stupid russian conspiracy theory, that proved to be utter bollocks.

Do you bother responding to people who wear aluminum foil hats because they're afraid that the aliens are turning us into pod people?

And now Trump is threatening DEATH to the whistleblower...clear witness intimidation.

Add that to the articles of impeachment

Is Trump losing it? Now Trump threatens those working in the White House with death.

Trump told members of his staff, “I want to know who’s the person who gave the whistle-blower the information because that’s close to a spy,” Trump said. “You know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart with spies and treason, right? We used to handle it a little differently than we do now.”

In the "old days" spies were shot.

Trump's trade war with China has failed as both sides seem to be backing down.

Trump's policies regarding Iran have failed. He withdrew the U.S. from an agreement that was working and imposed harsh economic sanctions on Iran. Today Iran can do anything it wants, violate the JCPOA protocols just as Trump did, seize ships, mine ships, shoot down sophisticated American aircraft, and destroy the world's largest oil refinery. Trump does nothing except impose more sanctions on the most sanctioned nation on the planet and are virtually meaningless

Trump's Middle East policy is in shambles, essentially non-existent. Because Trump has given Netanyahu everything he wants, the Arab republics and our allies no longer trust Trump. The U.S. has lost its seat in the Middle East talks. Russia has replaced the U.S.

Being the lead diplomat in North Korea talks, providing Trump with elaborate and extended photo ops, has been a total failure. If anything, matters are worse because it seems our President has a love affair going with the communist dictator. They even exchange love letters. Trump made himself look like a fool in all this. One reason being, since the short range ballistic missiles only reach South Korea and Japan, both allies, Trump does not consider their tests serious.

In the House there are ongoing investigations related to the Mueller Report and the clear evidence of obstruction of justice. Trump is a co-conspirator in the hush money payments to a porn star and a Playboy bunny.

Despite a campaign promise, Trump still has not turned over his tax returns. Obviously, he is hiding something.

As of Aug. 5, his 928th day in office, he had made 12,019 false or misleading claims, according to the Fact Checker’s database that analyzes, categorizes and tracks every suspect statement the president has uttered. Americans cannot trust anything he says.

And now the whistleblower complaint in which Trump asked a foreign government to interfere in our elections on his behalf and clearly implied that military aid approved by Congress was contingent on that country's cooperation.

Trump can no longer govern. It is time, past time, actually, for him to retire. If he loves this country like he says he does, he has no choice. This cannot continue.

    ho-hum...

In the old days, spies were indeed shot.

I'm not sure where you want to go with this, but personally, I think democrats in congress deserve to be tortured and executed on live TV because they are traitors to the country. Seeing Pelosi flensed and then quartered would be the highlight of the year for me.

It is a given that the ability of machines to do what humans previously did - has cost jobs in the past - and will continue to cost jobs at an increasingly rapid pace going forward.

Increasing the min wage will not have much of an effect on this paradigm shift. If an accountant can save a dollar - she will save a dollar. It makes no difference to the decision to go to automation if that savings is 1 dollar or 10 dollars - the decision will be made to reduce costs.

If you were to make the argument that at 8 dollars an hour - automation would not save anything but at 15/hr there would be savings - that would make some sense but, you have not made such an argument. What is also important is to give some kind of statistics with respect to the the number of jobs by area. For example - people working in the mining industry are already earning more than 15/hr - raising the min wage makes zero difference to these jobs.

At the end of the day - the fact of the matter is that automation is going to decrease the amount of human labor required for the means of production to function. This means that there will be a whole lot of people who do not have a job - and extending this into the future - very few people will be required.

What are we then supposed to do with all these unemployed people ?

Please understand this. I hope you are sitting down. You may need to put a brown paper bag over your mouth to calm your breathing. Ready? Here it goes. Trump is going to be re-elected. The Republicans are going take back the House, keep the Senate and put a butt ton more Judges on the Bench. And this will happen because instead of hallucinating your favorite scandal of the day, or making stuff up as Adam Schiff did the other day, they are over seeing a great economy and has not gotten us into any more stupid wars that have nothing to do with us. He's also working to secure our border. The Democrat Presidential Candidates are all talking about giving people handouts. I hear 0, nada, non-set, goose eggs about actually making jobs at higher wages. And I think I know the American people enough to know which side they will support.

Because, as long as things continue to go as they are, no one cares. Not even a little bit. You can pass enough laws to make criminals of everyone and then selectively prosecute those you want to destroy. That is all we think this crap coming from the deep state.
Hey, did you catch Adam Schiff making stuff up on TV and at the House so his lies could be part of the Congressional record? If you have to make stuff up, you've got problems. Also, if you have to pray for a Recession https://www.americanprogress.org/is...475075/united-states-not-ready-recession-can/

BTW, what you posted in no way addresses the criminality and abuses of power perpetrated on the American people by the Grifter-in-Chief.

Well, you can wait for someone to address nothing burgers. I'll just wait for Trump's election. So we can keep on winning. I'm not sick of winning yet. And I look forward to making America great again.

Yes shifting costs ever more in favor of the machine won't hasten things at all.
It takes 2 quarters to make a recession

There's a distinction between an official nationwide recession (2 qrts. of GDP contraction) and a sector of the economy being in recession.

So recession means whatever you want it to as long as it's bad for Trump.

That particular deflection does nothing to change the state of the manufacturing sector in the US.

Mitch McConnell Announces Senate Will Close Until 2021 for Repainting
    https://www.newyorker.com/humor/bor...s-senate-will-close-until-2021-for-repainting

Calling the current state of the Senate’s paint job “a national disgrace,” McConnell said that repainting the Senate was “the most urgent problem facing our democracy today.”

“The Democrats can waste their time with all their usual hijinks and tomfoolery, but I cannot stand idly by and watch the walls of this hallowed chamber grow dingy and chipped,” McConnell said. 8)

Which has been running at higher levels than it has in decades that it isn't as good as it was six months ago is hardly a problem.

The source of disagreement with another poster to which I responded to was......."they are over seeing a great economy."

Great economies are not those that are experiencing a recession in the manufacturing sector with GDP in decline.

Trump Pressed Australian Leader to Help Barr Investigate Mueller Inquiry’s Origins
    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/30/us/politics/trump-australia-barr-mueller.html

WASHINGTON — President Trump pushed the Australian prime minister during a recent telephone call to help Attorney General William P. Barr gather information for a Justice Department inquiry that Mr. Trump hopes will discredit the Mueller investigation, according to two American officials with knowledge of the call.
