We aren't talking about a singularity. We are talking about where
that singularity came from. In the beginning there was no heat,
no energy, no matter, no time, no space and no laws of physics.

There is a big difference between claiming there is no sufficient evidence that exists and saying it does not exist at all. You’re conflating the two. Because their is insufficient evidence, non believers just have better use of their time.
who knows what they believe in. The Bible gives them options, none of which is based upon evidence.

I'm a Christian but I also believe in evolution instead of intelligent design. Evolution is no longer a theory to me. It's been backed by evidence and studies for decades now and can be proven in multiple ways such as microbiological testing, cladograms, and fossil records.

I don't believe Jesus performed miracles using magic powers either, but that he was a good and noble man who changed history.

I'm not even sure if their is an afterlife or not, but I was raised Christian and I follow it's teachings to this day even though I consider myself more of a man of science.

I understand atheists and where they come from. I encourage them to tackle religion and question it because it's what humans naturally do and have done since the beginning of our species.

My question for you atheists though: What lead to you become an atheist?

    Einstein's Theory of Relativity is the origin of our knowledge of the Singularity. Roger Penrose and Stephen Hawking expanded our knowledge of them with their Singularity Theorem You can learn more about it here;

    https://www.physicsoftheuniverse.com/topics_blackholes_singularities.html

Onus still remains on YOU to PROVE your imaginary THEIST "in the beginning" allegation.

I have substantiated my position with credible links so why are you unable to substantiate your theist "in the beginning" position?

Gravity is a super-mystery, but no, gravity operates in space.
Gravitational "events" can cause space to ripple. General
Relativity shows gravity as "bending" space.
But "back then".... no space. And seeing how gravity must
obey physical laws - - - there were no physical laws. There
    was n.o.t.h.i.n.g.

When Christians like Gregor Mendel created so much to natural selection and evolution in general, it’s hard for any Christian to deny evolution with a straight face.

No, there was “almost” nothing, just as there is now. “Nothing” has not changed.

You have gone back to the Big Bang. I am talking about the events preceding this.
Some posit this "M-theory" but whatever it was, the question would be, who created
    this hyper-dimension membranes?

    Several reasons.

First off the theist hypocrisy was ALWAYS a major turn off as far as I was concerned. Secondly none of it made any sense. The nonsense about "needing Jesus" to "fill" some imaginary "hole" in myself that never existed meant that I would have to delude myself and I wasn't going down that path. Instead I was comfortable with who I was, warts and all. I knew that I wasn't perfect but neither was anyone else for that matter. Looking around at those who had allegedly been trying for decades to no longer be "sinners" and yet they still were made me come to the realization that it was all just a boondoggle.

Stepping away from it and taking responsibility for my own life, good or bad, was one of the best decisions I ever made. I no longer had to obey a "set of rules" and perform certain meaningless rituals. Instead I just had to live with myself so I came up with some "rules" that worked for me. Perhaps the most important one of all was to never lie to myself about anything. If I screw up I admit to myself and others. If I could not be honest with myself I could not be honest with others.

I know that there is an aspect of myself that is "spiritual" but I also know that it has more to do with peace of mind and experiencing the awe of the universe that we inhabit. I am surrounded by Nature and feel that I am a part of it. As Neil DeGrass Tyson said we are comprised of the 6 most common elements in the universe. We are just another part of it.

There is no need for religion or deities when one has these kinds of experiences on a daily basis.

It’s more important to consider only that we have evidence for. So why would you become a theist ? Probably the usual way, intimidation. The most enlightened answer one can give imo, is, “ I don’t know.”

M-theory is an alternative to the Cyclical Universe theory and both deal with the PHYSICAL REALITY of the Universe.

You continue to use THEIST terminology WITHOUT substantiation.

Until you can PROVE that there was a "creation" or a "beginning" or "nothing" you are just engaging in speculative religious superstitions for which you have ZERO EVIDENCE.

    The Universe EXISTS!

    That is an undeniable FACT.

You have the right to have faith in your imaginary "creator" and to believe whatever superstitions your religion embraces.

However no one else is obligated to provide "answers" to your "creation" superstitions because they are irrelevant as far as REALITY goes.

I am not necessarily promoting a theist POV, I am challenging the ANTI-THEIST
view, which is that if someone (not something, but someone) did not create the
universe from without then something created the universe from within - but there
was no universe to begin with.
This is the conundrum of the atheist - a self creating universe is actually more
absurd than a god created one. There will, by definition, remain zero evidence
    for this.

Who is making that ABSURD claim besides yourself?

The asinine concept of the universe being "created" is entirely a THEIST SUPERSTITION!

There is NOTHING that REQUIRES the "creation" of the universe.

The Universe EXISTS and the Laws of Physics stipulate that matter/energy can neither be created nor destroyed therefore the Universe has ALWAYS EXISTED and will ALWAYS EXIST in one form or another.

Now WHY is that so difficult for theists to accept since they believe the exact same thing about their IMAGINARY "creator".

The only difference is that there is PHYSICAL EVIDENCE for the existence of an ETERNAL Universe whereas there is ZERO evidence for your imaginary "creator".

Nothing in your post is supported by science in any way. Literally NOONE is making any of the claims above. They are giant theist strawmen.

Why do they call it, "Getting your cat fixed", when it's not broken and works fine
And when you get it back it doesn't work anymore.

Nope...I am Atheist on Unicorns much like the man made Gods. My agnosticism just indicates that I accept I do not know everything but I can know what is verified to exist and what is not.

As this thread has run its course and all questions that were on topic have been answered in depth showing the difference between an Atheist and the Theist version of this, and as it has now become a silly place of pointless jokes I request this be closed and used as an archive for the questions answered.
