And 20 of the candidates will be out of the picture by the end of the year.

Sanders has yet to explain his “free” policies (which, if I were an advisor, I’d say rebrand those policy positions and explain in-depth from the get go how they’re paid for) before I can fully back him over Biden.

All we can run off this early in advance is the polls. And even Fox News shows Biden stomping on Trump in the general. That’s why my poker chips are on Biden right now.

Just like normal Repubs had to be, and have to be, for the unhinged Trump.

It's funny that Trumpsters give a crap about what the Dems do. It's not like they ever listen to anything critical of their "team".

Dems should run the craziest person possible. Some sort of Dem version of the teflon kook. Maybe Snoop Dog. Or how about Alyssa Milano. Or Barbra Streisand! Someone that really has no business being president and would really piss off the right.

Why not? That's what the right did.

    Seems like fun.

Fox is just messing with the head space of leftists. They know that if it were to come down to Trump versus Biden that Trump would destroy old Uncle -- Gaffe Master -- Biden.

I'm sorry that you see intellectuals as "weak-kneed." Maybe we need some more morbidly obese, chest-beating, mentally stymied orangutans running for office.

    Be honest:
You'll support whoever the Democrats manage to nominate; there is no Democrat who you'd choose Trump over.

I sense that you have a little bit too much confidence here.

2018's outcome should've been a warning shot to Donnie. Pennsylvania just became more blue, so did Michigan, two states Trump may lose next year. Plus, you would have to present evidence that Fox is messing with leftists heads.

Like 1994 was to Clinton, and 2010 was to the Obama?

In what way would Milano or Streisand be different than currently declared candidates? And I’m not being snarky, I’m asking your opinion on what policy priorities would be different.

Not sure...but yeah, that's the deal.

As long as the policies are the right ones, it doesn't matter who the president is...the only thing that matters is how completely inexperienced they are (that's a good thing) and how much they annoy the other side.

I'm now thinking Rosie O'Donnell would be the best choice.

Good to see rational, independent thought is your strong suit.

    That's funny and ironic.

How many times have I seen Trumpsters say "we"?

How many times have I seen Trumpsters say "anyone but Hillary"?

How many times have I seen Trump and his base parrot the exact same lines of bull...why I do believe this thread is full of comments about Biden being "sleepy", etc.

Fact is, this will be the first election in my life where I absolutely will vote to get rid of someone because the unhinged right clearly has lost the plot and must be stopped. I do hope the rest of the country comes out in full force to do the same.

That IS being rational, something the right obviously knows nothing about.

So really, Trump would be ok with you if he changed his position on immigration and a couple other things? His personality and behavior are actually things you want in a president?

    Well I'm being sarcastic...

this is apparently how most Trump supporters feel.

I think he is unfit and an embarrassment, no matter his positions (which he has flip flopped on because he'd never get anywhere as a Dem).

A lot of people were left with a rotten binary choice. It looks like it will repeat in 2020.

How do you feel about Biden changing long held positions to be more electable?

Well everyone is a sellout to a degree...and people evolving with the times as opposed to being completely stubborn is a good thing.

But Trump is such a complete and obvious phony....

as if he really cares about religion, for example. Or hugging/respecting the flag. Or the military. Or the July 4th. Or Christmas. Etc etc. It's just ridiculous. I don't believe he gave 2 sh*ts about immigration before his campaign, for example. It just wasn't on his radar. The whole thing was born out of a way to get a following. He and his campaign advisers knew the issues that a certain crowd cared about...mainly immigration and a hatred of Dems/liberals/Hillary/Obama.

He doesn't even really care about America, or anything really other than himself and his ego. He doesn't seem to have any real emotions...the whole thing is a con, far more egregious than the way many or most politicians act.

    Imo.

I don’t know what Trump thought of illegal immigration in the past. But he figured out it was important to a lot of Americans. Why did B. Clinton and B. Obama make statements very similar to Trump’s current ones? Did they really believe it was a serious problem or do you think they were just using the issue for political gain? If it was true why has the party they represented flipped 180 degrees from their past statements?

I do know Trump has always wanted to address the trade imbalances we’ve put up with for decades.

I’ll give you the ego bit, but point out anyone wanting the job likely has more ego than either of us would like to be around and experience personally. :)

Who up for the job cares about America and what actions have they taken that convince you of it?

    Democrats are f—ked.

Supporting terrible candidates again, funneling all their money into a black-hole for Trump to napalm. The second term of Trump will be the undoing of the US empire, a story that could have been crafted by reality TV. At least the media will make a lot of money before it all collapses, I know they secretly want Trump to win for the ratings.
