Well, he was kinda asking for it himself. I mean, he went out of his way to make a big production about it and rubbing people's noses in it. He didnt pray in the locker room in private.
The thread title left me wondering why I should be celebrating the loss of a brand of toilet paper. They stopped making the hard, waterproof toilet papers like Bronco forty years ago.
Yeah, all those grass games are a waste of good weather. The only sport that matters is the one where grown man hit a black piece of rubber (and each other) around.
How do you know he's asking God to intervene? Do you think he might be asking for God's protection for all of them, even the opposition from injury? Do you think he's asking God's blessing that his example will bring others to Christ. Point is. YOU don't know what he's asking for. And neither do I. But is it any worse than what some of them do 'for luck' or whatever else they do in their little game rituals? There are certainly plenty of atheists praying for his defeat.
well i do. God is interested in everything in our lives. I ask him for blessings on my children and grandchildren. I try to remember to ask him for His blessings on my endeavors. I pray for victory against my enemies, that would include personal enemies as well as national enemies. I don't wish for their deaths. I wish for peoples' eyes to be opened. I pray for Obama's conversion to christianity. I pray for the what is right in God's eyes to be done. And then i try to be on the side of the right. I've prayed for a locksmith in the most unlikely place and i believe God answered my prayer.
Nasty and negative people are always going to be nasty and negative. There is a lot of ugliness in the people's hearts who are taking some kind of sick pleasure in Tim Tebow losing. I feel bad for them.
Can't we just take sick pleasure in seeing Denver lose without bringing Jesus into it?...or are we just bad if we don't like Tebow because he's not a great quarterback, and a Bronco
Before I accepted Jesus as my lord and savior last month, I felt the same way. Though they may not represent the majority, but that minority is very vocal and rabid. Sure, we also our hypocritical loud mouths, but there are still those of us who are doing the right thing. Any talent or lack thereof he has is what he thanks the lord for. Well, that and the fact he's even alive. I said it many times before and I'll say it again, as that story touched my heart. Tebow could of just as easily ended up still-born or aborted, yet, because of God's grace and possibly because he wanted to use Tebow as an example to glorify his name, he survived the pathogenic amobea and the needle.
