Well she's doing about everything she can not too and hasn't shown up yet but she has little choice. If she doesn't then no one believes her, it was all a sham, what was supposed to be a drive by smear then she would go and hide. But once it got leaked by the Democrats because they wanted a LOT more than just a drive by they want a full blown smear, she had little choice but to try and go along and then get out of it for bogus reasons as she has been trying to do.

I am so sick of hearing the left claim how BRAVE she is to come forward. SHE DIDN'T WANT TO COME FORWARD, that was the plan she could do it anonymously and know one would ever know it was her. I think the Democrats screwed her from the getgo.

We know what she claims, we know what untruths she's already told. She has to bring evidence, she has to provide substance here. This isn't about how she feels it's about proving her very serious charge against Kavanaugh. He's the only one who has acted bravely here he is the one under attack.

Honestly, I agree with you for the most part. This was political theatre at its worst and while I may not agree that Kavanaugh is the "best possible" candidate, this makes a mockery of the system and the #metoo movement.

Even if their claims were true, the way this was dealt with and presented perverts the whole thing.

My point was simply that (at the time of the announcement when I posted it I should say) if she was willing to make her claims under oath, and take the risk of losing what sounds like a pretty well built career, then I would give more serious consideration then the obvious bullcrap the rest of the accusations have obviously turned out to be.

 

No, if a nominee was accused of such an indisgression, the FBI would investigate it as part of background much as GHW Bush insisted that Anita Hill's accusation. The fact that Trump, Kavanaugh, Judge, McConnell and Grassley want no part of an FBI probe speaks volumes.

 

Yes those inept fools at the FBI could not find out that he sexually abused women after SIX yes SIX investigations so we need to investigate it now and we need to put our bestest most experienced investigators, those who can really ferret it out, on it and that would be the FBI.................................

It would be a crime and he would report it and demand the authority with proper jurisdiction investigate and keep him informed. The FBI has no investigation to do here as they have official stated. The Congressional Federal Investigators did the investigation. None of the witness confirmed her story. Ford offers nothing else.

The statute of limitations has run out. This is not a criminal investigation champ. This is an accusation made against a man who is being considered as a lifelong Supreme Court Justice. The FBI should obviously investigate any of the accusers and these allegations. If the White House would ask for these people to be properly investigated, the FBI would respond immediately like they did when Anita Hill came forward in the Thomas deal. Instead, the President is refusing to order a proper investigation and insulting the accusers on TV. Seems pretty fishy to me.

There is none on sexual assault and rape charges. The FBI would put the accusation in his file, they have no jurisdiction to investigate the crime. As far as the hearing the federal investigators in the Senate Legal Counsels office would do any investigation of facts for the Senate.

 

I am sure that both Blasey-Ford and Ramirez are aware that they can go to jail if they deliberately lie to this committee or the FBI. The fact that both of them welcomed an FBI probe lends more credibility to them and their assertions in my book. Only an idiot would make up a story and ask for the FBI to interrogate them. Blasey1-1Ford is a nd Ramirez evidently graduated from Yale. That would lead me to believe that they are both pretty intelligent women.

 

You want to bet no matter the outcome of this she will be hearld for the rest of her life as a hero to the feminist? That she will be invited to speak at conferences and gatherings? The her job is MOST assured now?

A probe they know the FBI has unequivocally stated they have nothing to investigate, that is all about delay and obfuscation. It is being investigated by federal investigators under penalty of a felony. The statements have been taken or submitted under penalty of a felony. There is nothing else to investigate, no one else to interview. Credibility is what they offer to support their claims, Ramirez is on record stating she doesn't really know if it happened and like with Ford her claimed corroborators say her claims are not true.
And now tonight it appears she may not show up. Feinstein, her sponsor says she cannot guaranty she will show up.

 

I have to check this out, but it would appear to me that congress has one remarkable staff of investigators that check things like this out.
