It seems that things have not worked out too well for the world's dumbest Town Council -- Melbourne in Australia Not so long ago Melbourne basically employed Australian Cab Drivers to drive Melbourne Cabs .Things didn't turn out well , as the Gold and Silver boom set in . Ordinary Aussie cab drivers were selling their cabs and rushing with shovels to the hills to dig for the precious metals . Then news came through about Yukon and many set off for north America . Melbourne first tried to find replacement Cab drivers from Ireland but results were bad , with most of them finding it impossible to drive on the right . Greeks fared no better as they insisted on four hour afternoon siestas and only accepting payment in gold or silver nuggets . The Americans seemed to get lost , mostly in Thailand and in strange circumstances . So now , ironically , Russians are the latest flavour of the month .Three ship loads of potential drivers have set off from Vladivostok but ructions in Parliament could put paid to Melbourne's last desperate throw of the dice .
I read they were Irish. Either way though there would be a language problem. Despite their protested love of all things Irish, Australians would have a huge problem with the accent. Happy St Patrick's Day....

I think referring to Aboriginals in the shortened abbreviation as "Abo's" is perfectly acceptable, considering Aboriginals and many other foreigners openly refer to Australians in the shortened abbreviation as "Aussies" Do you think calling Australians "Aussies" is insensitive and deemed an acceptable form of abuse?
No .But I call Aussies , Roos , or Crocs . But I was asking about Abos because I genuinely did not know . Here I might be given 10 years for being insensitive to an ethnic minority . Unfortunately in Australia if you are white and call and Aboriginal an Abo they take offence and say you are being racist. If you call them black they also take offence and call you a racist, but the funny thing is they do have black skin. If you are a white Australian, An Aboriginal can call you a white bastard a snow flake or Aussie or anything under the sun and its not considered racist, but just conveniently ignored as their way of venting a few Centuries worth of anger.
If it came down to feeding my dog and an Aboriginal, my dog would get the tucker, because I know I could trust my dog over an Aboriginal.
