    Certainly possible. I guess.
Depends on what the request was.
If it s happy birthday Billy from trump, or if they want original artwork. Could be a troll, yes.

Who's making assumptions? You believe that if discrimination is perceived, private property rights cease to exist. I'm not sure if you believe discrimination ca exist outside of "protected classes", but that would be far worse if you didn't.

Lol...And I find it quite interesting that the woman can't find anyone to bake her a pro-trump cake.
I wonder how he got elected with so little support?
Maybe he got help from his friends in the mafia or in Moscow.

But, like I've said before, if you run a business that deals with the public, you don't get to choose who you want to serve.
We had enough of that back in the 50s.
If you can't deal with it, get into a different line of work.

no, they have a business license, not a concious or religious license to discriminate

Lol...No, that's the dumb, racist thing to do, and it has been ever since it was outlawed back in the 50s.
You people are on the wrong side of history yet again.
    How embarrassing.

Someone who is an attorney would know that you can't sue a baker for refusing to make a Donald Trump cake, whatever that is, for a 9 year old kid. Donald Trump fans aren't a protected class.

I disagreed with the attacks on the baker who wouldn't bake the cake for the gay couple's wedding, but I certainly understand the legalities of it - and I'm not an attorney. That's why I know the man in the OP is a troll.

Interesting cake. Not very attractive. It reminds me of those cakes at baby showers that look like poop.

Yeah, this sounds like another fake publicity stunt from the right. They like to whine incessantly about their victim status.

What is a "gay cake" exactly?

If you offer wedding cakes, you offer wedding cakes. That's the unfortunate reality for the baker who refused to bake the cake for a gay couple's wedding. I don't agree with forcing anyone into an exchange of commerce against their will, but from a non-legal mind, I understand you can't refuse to do it because of (insert protected class issue here). If a baker refused to bake a wedding cake (something in their general public offering) for a Christian couple's wedding strictly because that person is an atheist who detests Christianity, and tells them that, I assume you'd side with the baker. Correct? Or if a black baker refused to bake a birthday cake (something in his general pubic offering) for a white kid strictly because he hates white people and tells the kid "I don't work with white people", you'd side with the baker, yes?

Protected classes are defined by the law. The premise of this thread is that a lawyer wanted to make a case that he could sue these unnamed bakers who were not able to produce a "Donald Trump cake", whatever that is, for a 9 year old child. According to the child's mother, she was not able to find anyone who was "willing and able" to produce the cake.

No mention of the bakeries. No mention that the bakeries refused to do it on moral/political grounds. And even if one of them did, and said so, there is no comparison to the stories about the bakeries that rejected the offer of an engagement of commerce based on not wanting to do business with a gay couple. Sexual orientation (gay) makes you part of a protected class. Trump supporters, and Obama supporters, and Hillary supporters, and Rubio supporters, and on and on, are not part of a protected class. You can reject offers of commerce with them all day, every day, and tell them exactly why you don't want to work with them, and not be sued or penalized or taken to court. Any "General Counsel" would know that. So even if the story is true, and the bakers said "Sorry, I won't make a Donald Trump cake", their actions were completely legal.

The OP was a troll. Looks like you fell for it.

    Let's boycott them, sure.

Post the bakeries' names. All of them, and their locations. You surely know them, right?

Naw that's just the cake topper. The cake is my wife's specialty: chocolate cake, separated by layers of chocolate mousse, covered completely in chocolate mousse, then drizzled with chocolate ganache. We will put that little car on top of the cake a then we will have our Chester Whipplefilter cake. His bday is a little over a week away. If we go this route(and that's been what we've discussed) I'll get some pictures of it and you can drool over it right along with me lol.

Thanks, now I want to get in my car and find some chocolate mousse!

Please share the pictures when the cake is made. I'd love to see them! Your son will love this.

She makes it herself with Gihrardelli chocolate. It is the best part of the cake by far. She usually makes a little extra and we have mousse for a couple days lol.

Will do! I'm pumping myself up for this cake. I really really hope we do it now, I don't think I can wait till Christmas for that cake(she makes one every Christmas).

Ghirardelli Chocolate? Lucky kids! I'd be whipping out a box of Jello chocolate mousse for my kids haha.

I like to make chocolate pies with that Jello! Lol

Sadly, my daughter is not a fan of chocolate. She's about to turn 13.

Trust me, when she's older, she'll be glad she isn't a fan of chocolate. When I was 13 it never added a pound. Now I just look at it and I go from a size 8 to a size 10.
