Many on the lists I've looked at have filed chapter 11, in order to get out from under enormous debt. Others are closing large numbers of stores. Either way, it will result in permanent job losses. Not good for anyone, as I don't see much interest in new start ups in the US right now - not until we have proven that we can effectively handle crises.
