Because this is going back to the original design of the country. To elect people who are NOT professional politicians, serve for a short period of time, and return to their private sector lives. This is how it was meant to be done. Not some career politician, with the only goal in life to remain in power in perpetuity, who is beholden to special interests. And this is what has the establishment going apeshit. Reagan was the same way. No wonder both Ford and GHW Bush hated him.

I would hope that Trump is anti-poor as all politicians should be. It is a shame that you have had a President for the last eight years who was suppose to be the great healer of race relations became the great divider. It is a shame that more people had to receive welfare and food stamps than under any President. Instead of people moving up they moved down the social ladder, lost homes, lost jobs, stagnant wages, lost savings and decimated retirement for many. Institution's of higher learning raised tuitions and instead of making education affordable piled debt on the backs of their students while stuffing the pockets of professors who preached how evil America is. I hope Trump does get his tax cuts for corporations so they can expand and hire poor people.

I don't think Trump is an anarchist, or has "zero respect for government". Hopefully, he sees government for what it is: a necessary evil. A firefighter knows that fire is a useful tool when kept small and under control, but can be a deadly danger when it becomes large and out of control (just like government). That doesn't mean that a firefighter has zero respect for fire.

How the hell could he "bring the nation together"? The divides are only growing larger, and it was going on long before he came along. But with the "resistance" that Trump has been experiencing, many people have made it clear that they have no interest in being united. This reminds me of when Maxine Waters said that she wouldn't attend Trump's inauguration, but she "really hoped he would try to unite the nation in his speech" (putting it all on him to unite while simultaneously refusing to even attend, showing that SHE had no intention to be united).

 

The attacks on Bannon have always been unfair. His plans for a competitive News Station to FOX, MSLSD and CNN though, are probably a much better utility of his talents.
