It is rather amusing that american conservatives are all for democracy and freedom, for themselves and for other countries if convenient. Mubarek was a tyrant and a murderer. He was paid off for peace with Israel adn if you want to say anything nice about him when he got paid off, he stayed paid off.

Obama has NEVER apologized to any other nation, but once again the right has made a bumpersticker out of this lie. Even more deplorable by the right is that a memo attempting to diffuse the tension BEFORE the riot is falsely used to blame Obama. On the ground, surrounded by angry people, the american diplomats do what they can, and the right condemns them for it. THAT'S DISGUSTING! The egyptian mob et.al. may not respect international diplomatic rights but it seems american conservatives definitely do not respect their very own public servants.

Are you complaining that Christianity has evolved to the point where such slander is ineffective. Just a couple of hundred years ago, Christian would have behaved exactly like the muslims are today. go back a little further and Christians burned the perps at the stake, drowned them and generally did all kinds of harms to the heretic.

Your "democrats are traitors" garbage is yet another outrageously false bumpersticker meme, lacking in all substance but heavy on the phony outrage.

I can just see Jimmy giving the order to off Bin Ladin, or ousting ghaddafi, or picking off bad guys right and left with drones.

    On the other hand:

Mitt romney = alfred landon now that is a much more accurate comparison

You shouldn't compare a couple hundred years ago to today. Today is what matters. The Muzzies need to be eradicated. Break out the napalm.

Actually, I can't see Jimmy doing that. Yeah, he was a terrible President, but he was possibly the last prez we've had with a fully-functioning set of morals. Everyone after him, I could see them doing it though.

A cheap propaganda film is made in USA and this calls for a million Egyptians of all faiths to take to the streets to show they reject any kind of assault or insult on the Prophet Muhammad.

Calls for a million-man march in Cairo came from The Muslim Brotherhood, the Salafist al-Nour party and non-religious groups including the "Ultra" fans of Zamalek football club.

They said they had invited Muslims, Coptic Christians and all Egyptian citizens to join them.

President Mohammed Mursi said Egyptians rejected "any kind of assault or insult" against the Prophet Muhammad, but appealed for calm.

    source

On the other hand tearing down the US flag flying at halfmast at the US embassy in remembrance of thousands of innocent people killed by Islamists in Muhammad's name is obviously not an assault or insult worthy of even an apology! How many grusom acts have been committed in the name of Muhammad?

Protesters attempt to raise a Salafist flag with Arabic words that read, "There is no God but Allah and Mohammad is his prophet" after pulling down an American flag at the U.S. embassy in Cairo.

    source

It speaks volumns that films made with real live hostages being decapitated under banners with Quranic quotes is not worthy of protest while films with actors where nobody is harmed calls for mass protests.

Well mr Morsi and all who think as you, what you consider to be an assault or insulting I find in itself an assault and an insult only not to a prophet but to all humanity. You should go back to kindergarden and learn the rhyme sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. If you want to be respected as a statesman of the world rather than just a Muslim leader then it would be far more appropriate to call for mass demonstrations to protest against videos of Islamists committing grusom barbaric acts in the name of your prophet than of non Muslim actors in a cheap propaganda one.

Yes it does stink. Now deaths through smoke inhalation sound more like deaths caused by arsen attack by violent protestors than an AQ assasination hit team. Maybe we will learn with time that the circumstances were a little different than we are being led to believe.

All this is a relative tea party compared to the barbarity that has resulted from the US-led invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as NATOs bombing of Libya, the drone attacks on Pakistan and Yemen and Western/Arab league backing of the Salifists in Syria.

This is a demonstration against a weak U.S. President, not unlike Carter in 1979.

    Weak? Yeah right.

    Let's see

    1. Got Bin Ladin in a unilateral action that amounted to an invasion of a foreign country.
    2. Killed dozens of al quaida (Yemen et.al)
    3. Killed dozens of taliban (Pakistan)
    4. Orchestrated the ouster Ghaddafi (libya)
    5. Surged troops in Afghanistan
    6. Covert Action in Somalia (rescuing a pirated capitan)
    7. Covert action against lord's liberation army (Congo)
    8. Over 250 drone strikes killing at least 1400
    9. Had an american citizen assassinated (al awlaki)
    10. Turned the war on terror into a war on alquaida and its allies.
    11. Increased CIA presence on ground in Pakistan

Boy what a weak president. He ousted a few dictators, killed a whole mess of terrorists including the big guy, rescued american personnel, and is conducting covert operations in Somalia, Congo, and Yemen, put more troops into Afghanistan.

Oh he also has just told the world that he will bring to justice all those that attack the US. Considering he got Binnie and a bunch of other bigshot terrorists, I think the world knows he ain't bluffing.

Methinks you suffer from cognitive dissonance.

A friend of mine was a US advisor to the Shah for a decade.. and just before the wheels came off, his report to Washington was that the Pavlavi Dynasty was good for another 1000 years. They were blind-sided because they had become too close to the elite circle.. and didn't read the signs.

    Carter had poor intel.

Get serious. Is it because the Islamists STILL don't like the US? How did you criteria do you use to conjure up this fantasy?

Considering that there were way more terrorist attacks on us interests when Bushie the war monger was in office, then Bush was even weaker.

Of course I'm sure you remember the Muslim riots over the danish cartoons. ONly 140 died in that little display of medieval religious fervor. What has occurred so far this time pales in comparison to that.
