Free speech is definitely restricted in Europe, and although by no means ubiquitous in the USA it's much better than here.

However - and I don't want to deflect this onto the "guns rock" chestnut - the idea that more guns = less crime by guns is not borne out in reality. Cars as killing weapons are bad news, but thank God these idiots in Europe largely don't have guns.
