Four months have now passed since the terrorist attack on the US diplomatic compound in Benghazi took the lives of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. But for all the vows that the perpetrators would swiftly be brought to justice, no one so far has been. Nor, it seems, is anyone likely to be.

So much for President Obama’s solemn promise: “Make no mistake, we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people.”

What’s happened instead? Tunisia last week released the only person who’s been arrested as a possible suspect, citing “lack of evidence.” Time magazine quotes a senior Libyan activist: “There is no Libyan investigation. There is not even a will to investigate.” For understandable reasons: Benghazi’s chief investigator was kidnaped from his car, and the chief of police was murdered. And North African countries reportedly are refusing to cooperate with the FBI.

Meanwhile, the drones and special-ops teams used to hunt down al Qaeda in Pakistan and Yemen are not being used.

It’s beyond shameful. Stevens was the first US envoy killed in the line of duty since Jimmy Carter was president. But it seems the attack is being relegated to the dustbin of campaign history or dismissed as a GOP “obsession.”

Republicans say they won’t move ahead on Obama’s national-security nominations — especially CIA director-designate John Brennan — without more answers. Good. Someone needs to be held responsible for this pathetic non-response.

Four months and counting, and we still don't know:

    Why was Stevens in Benghazi?
Why was he there with inadequate security?
Was were requests for help denied, repeatedly?
Did the Benghazi compound or CIA Annex / satellites house a secret prison for Al Qaeda?
    Was Stevens sodomized?

And we probably never will. What has happened to America to elect and re-elect a President who would allow such a thing? Was this the result of Obama foreign policy, or just gross incompetence?

The deaths in Benghazi don't fit with the obama narrative so all recollection is flushed down the Memory Hole.

Life and responsibility means so little to liberals they simply schloff off the dead Americans, yet they are ever so concerned about guns.

I think there's more to it than simply shrugging off responsibility for mishap, or whatever liberals now call Benghazi. At best, it's the case of criminal negligence; at the worst it's BenghaziGate. Remember the stench Liberals made when Reagan was "running" guns to Iran contras? Everyone was talking about Iran Contras, everyone. And no Ambassador died because of it. This president and his administration is a bunch of Billy Ray Valentines; at least the "real" Billy Ray Valentine was competent, smart and funny in a good way.

So far, Agent OO-Bama, slayer of Bin Laden, has scoured Las Vegas and the Hawaiian Island chain for the Benghazi suspects with negative results.

The Libyans say, the investigation is nonoperational, if not effectively dead, with witnesses too fearful to talk and key police officers targeted for violent retribution.

The growing sense that the culprits in the September 11, 2012, attack might never be caught deepened this week, when Tunisian officials released the sole suspect in custody. Citing lack of evidence, they freed Ali al-Harzi, a Tunisian citizen. He told the FBI, he was not involved at all.”

Whoever knows differently is for now not talking. And in fact, they might be dead or missing. Last week masked men surrounded the car of Benghazi’s chief of criminal investigations, Captain Abdelsalam al-Mahdawi, while he stopped at a traffic light and abducted him; he has not been seen since. His kidnapping came less than two months after Benghazi’s police chief, Faraj el-Drissi, was murdered in his Benghazi home and just weeks after armed men attempted to break into a jail in order to free the suspects in custody for el-Drissi’s murder.

It's a coverup of something very sinister, and only blind and Liberals not seeing this for what it is. There are no witnesses, and these who attempt to investigate in Libya are dying. All in the name of what? To keep an incompetent Billy Ray Obama in the White House?

The plea for help was denied. Once, twice, trice.... Give us a better splantation, and we'll consider it. Until you do, go look for clues in 9/11, please.

The Behghazi fiasco won't be covered in the news because there is a press narrative that Obama has raised the stature of America overseas. When a powerless, insignificant and tiny country, such as Tunisia gives America the finger, then the cognitive dissonance at the main stream media kicks in. What are they to do? Admit the obvious, that Obama is far worse than George W. Bush in the area of foreign affairs? Admit that perhaps there are bad actors in foreign countries and it isn't George Bush's fault? Or perhaps, just ignore the story all together? Unfortunately, ignoring the story altogether is the easiest path to assuage the feelings that Obama has been, and continues to be a failure in the area of foreign affairs.

An excellent analysis, but it only covers MSM. What about Conservative politicians? True, there's some rumbling, but I think its too little too late. Obama once again got away with murder.
