    Just because you are a professor that does not mean squat to me. You still need to think! I have argued with ignorant American teachers and professors about the history of the USSR, Russia, and Ukraine and Inpointed out to them where they were "educated" idiots. Just because you are a professor means nothing to me.You need to show me that you can and do take historical data into consideration and are capable of coming to an honest and fair conclusion. I cannot that that you have or have not done that. Time will tell.

    Well, I am seriously telling you that labelling political states as 'good' and 'evil', exluding all the various details of why and what was done, by whom and when, is a primitive appoach. Depending on point of view anything can be 'good' or 'evil', but we face consequences of actions taken in certain circubstances. Nothing in politics is done just because someone wants it so, there always is a complicate set of reasons, the more complicated the more issues at once faces a state. In case of RF among many of them is political pressure from European Union and threat of armed invasion from NATO. Among inner - threat of terrorism and radical islam spreading among citizens that follow Islam teachings and loss of integrity due to possible conflicts with regions.

    It is hard to administrate country of such scale and with such amount of problematic issues. And especially it hard, considering that twenty eight years ago it been a part of unitary state, that then collapsed and fell apart when it's course for centralization of state has failed.

    USA, for example, does not faces these issues, as well as was not devastated during both World Wars by warfare on it's soil. I assume it is hard for one, whose country is isolated from wars it wages by oceans to understand, what it takes to rebuild the lost. It is me, who lives in town, containing several mass graves and build on territory of several villages burned to ground during battles of WW2.

    Islam is only a problem when enough Muslims become convinced that a military jihad can win. Historically it has usually not taken much to stop Islamic aggression.

    Not quite true. West eagerly buys mathematicians, physicists and IT guys from Russia. There is also some hightec products that people in the west buy from Russia.

    If you want to make such idiotic statements trying to deny the history of the true decendents of the Kiyvan-Rus there us no reason to have any further discussions with you. I discuss history, politics, and philosophy with people who are anchored in honesty not Kremlin propaganda.

    Sorry, but I don't treat hemorrhoids. I also don't believe just because someone has a degree in, or teaches a subject in history, that it makes them correct.

    History is not science. It is filled with subjective rubbish. But one can have a basic understanding of people and events and make logical conclusions. Your theory that Bin Laden was still working as a US agent as part of a 9-11 conspiracy---is a conspiracy theory.
