I agree.

The days of non elites being represented are long gone evidenced by two decades of congressional record used by the Princeton Study. We once got some representation by DC. Especially economically. The DP once stood up for the interests of working and middle class. But no longer do. They under Clinton joined the GOP. Kicked most of us to the curb.

When I was a kid my dad told me the DP was for the poor and working people. And the GOP was for banking and big business. Which was fine for then all Americans were represented and stood up for. Plus back then the two parties would compromise so one side didn't always dominate and both the common man and the elites got something.

Yet for decades now once the dems went corporate and turned the big banks loose to plunder ...well that proof is right there in congressional record!

The disembowelling of Americans could only happen when the DP stopped caring about them.

So I never blamed the GOP for they are pro elites. The blame lies with the DP. And sadly the DP voters can't pay attention or simply like having their throats cut economically with offshoring our economy and accepting a low wage service sector model that cannot create a middle class. Which means the large middle created by making our consumption with wages high enough to buy our production will be gone. Leaving only a tiny middle, the upper middle, the upper class, the one percent...with the rest of Americans being working poor or non working poor.

Or just like Perot tried to warn us.

 

Polls seem to indicate he can win. Doesn’t mean he will of course.

Four years ago, it was allegedly Hillary Clinton who had dementia and all that nonsense. Four years later, she's doing just fine.

Listening to Joe Biden speak, it is quite obvious that he is also doing just fine. Trump and friends' absurd lies about the mental condition of Trump's far more competent political opponents are just that, and I don't foresee them having any meaningful impact on this election. They only serve as fodder for bottom-feeding alt-right trolls.

I don't recall her being labeled with dementia.

She was sickly, even coughing mucus up into a glass of water.

She was falling into vans while her supporters said she was fine.

 

How awesome would it be if Corn Pop and T-bone were to attend the RNC next week.

 

So how is Biden's team going to attract the Bernie Bros and other younger voters? Without them he's sunk.

 

Well, if we're to believe Biden, it will all come down to who has the hairier legs - Trump or Biden.

Her involuntary convulsions were a direct sign of some illness, bless her heart. The uncontrollable head bobbing was an additional tell. That, and her left eye and right eye often didn't move together.

Hope she's resting well and stays retired. She needs some additional time to get right with God.

I don't doubt that it will be "entertainment extraordinaire" for all of us, Left and Right!

Trump will go after Biden like a homing-torpedo, but Biden will evade a direct attack, never allow any serious debate on-topic, and continually dodge, evade, and get so lost in his own meandering that Trump will probably get lost in it, too, get mad, and both of them will start ranting and raving at each other.

The most pathetic part of this whole election year farce is that the debates and all the millions of TV commercials won't change anyone's mind! This year especially, people want to see which candidate is going to give them the most stuff -- in one form or another. Whoever promises the most "free stuff" will win, pure and simple.

Consider: we don't care about Iraq, we don't care about Afghanistan, we don't really even care about Russia OR China! We don't care about anything but getting free stuff from the government. About the most ambition that most Americans have is maybe for getting nice, cushy 'civil service' government jobs -- after the government pays for their college -- jobs with lots of benefits, and great retirement.

Whatever else we may agree or disagree on, surely we can agree that we are not (NOT) the Americans that we used to be 30 years ago. No... not even close.

And we aren't the only ones who know this, either....
