It has more to do with survival then MAGA. True gun owners practice and that requires ammo, which domestically cannot be had between contractual government purchase's and increased sales due to the huge increase in gun sales to first time buyers. As such they have no choice other then to go offshore for ammo. Also a lot of Russian ammo is not made in Russia, though it is made by Russian companies,
Have you had any brass or other metal separation problems with Russian ammo? I had a friend out here on my range shooting his brand new H&K when I wouldn't go into battery, upon examination I noticed a brass ring about 2 mm long in the front of the chamber that broke off of the ejected shell. I tried to pull it out with a key remover but it wouldn't budge, I locked the barrel wrapped in leather in my vice and using a aluminum dowel was able to gently drive it out of the chamber. Judging by the look on my friends face he was about to wet his pants when he saw me with a hammer and that dowel, but after clearly explaining the dowelll wouldn't do any damage to the chamber he relented and we got it out of there. He was so shook up by what happened he gave me the remaining box's pf 9m which i had no use for so I sold it on Gunbroker and bought some .45 with the money. ,
What's being ignored is most of this ammo is not coming from Russia, they gave it away trying to buy influence and now that it is surplus it is being sold on the American market to backfill what American companies cannot produce to match demand. Also keep in mind a lot of the Russian ammo that is being sold here, is being replaced with American ammo that the US government has bought and is now giving away for free, trying to buy influence from the same players who are selling their Russian ammo to Americans. As such no Americans are getting laid off or are their any American ammo companies going out of business because Americans are buying Russian ammo. Anyone who states otherwise doesn't understand what is actually happening in the market. If anything is true, it is the American government is creating a ammo shortage, by buying tons of American ammo and giving it away for free to folks who used to be our enemies and probably will be our enemies sometime in the future. Such a wonderful idea, screw Americans while arming what may soon become our enemies. Oh wait didn't that just happen somewhere in the world, where the current US government just allowed a group of thugs to arm themselves with Made in America armament including a lot of American ammo? And some are worried about, in comparison, a few thousands of Russian ammo being bought by Americans.
Well Billy - I'm not buying the plane and you have a choice of buying American ammo or Russian Ammo. You don't have to be a Putin supporter of Putin death machine.
I just got the 9mm as cheap range ammo. I've shot hundreds of rounds through a Glock 19, and not a single problem so far other than the rotten egg stink. I clean my guns thoroughly after I shoot the commie bullets, and I've heard people say that the steel is tougher on a gun than brass, but I doubt I'm ever going to shoot enough of the bulletskis to do all that much damage.
Yet. In order to become proficient with a firearm, one needs lots and lots of ammo. And if one doesn't want to become proficient a firearm, then one should not own a firearm.
Referring specifically to steel case rifle, which I've seen is the stinky ammo. I haven't noticed that with steel case handgun ammo.
I got some 7.62x39FMJ one time that was magnetic... and no it wasn't steel cased, the actual bullet was magnetic. It shot just fine, but was just weird.
What patriot would want to buy guns from, or otherwise financially support a country that routinely interferes in our domestic politics and tries to radicalize our citizens to the point of violence against one another?
They also make steel cased .22 rimfire.....again, I have no personal experience with Russian ammo, Czech and South African yes, no complaints.
Going to WalMart to buy some China crap soon? Bet you have, bet you still will. Your words ring hollow and are empty.
I don't buy any, but I dont support a moron trampling the Second. Are you now anti choice? I bet your device you are posting on is foreign made, like most everyone elses. Are you suggesting no foreign made goods because someone promoted America first in policies?
The fact that you're posting here indicates that you've financially supported a country that routinely interferes in our domestic politics and opposes the American way of life.
