That monument helps no one, not a single person, nada, zilch, zero. So what was his point? Are his poll numbers with blacks taking another hit? How about if Biden signed a proclamation establishing a monument for the Jews who were murdered when Sharpton riled up the crowd who attacked them? Or how about a monument for the guy who committed suicide over the Sharpton inspired Tawana Brawley hoax? Or how about a monument for the cops murdered by blm?
It's ironic people saying statues don't matter when last year they were protesting statues being taken down.

The ONLY people who discuss wounds are the folks who need sympathy for being victims of something they didn't experience and who will take whatever they can get in exchange for their votes.
The current Democrats seem to be all about symbols and public relations stunts, things that will just make the voters feel good. Actually improving the country, getting the economy to grow and improving living standards, that is a more difficult task.
Monuments to victims. Why am I not surprised. victims held up on a pedestal and idolized, while people who actually did something and achieved a victory or success are not honored. How about monuments for every other person who was the victim of a brutal murder?

And yet……. You are talking to an Aussie. Every year Aussies travel to Turkey to celebrate Gallipoli - where we were brutally defeated by the Turks. But doing this has, if anything strengthened ties between our countries. Our indigenous people are getting “reparations” for stolen land, children, wages and culture.
