Given the speed of the contamination, the travel ban with China was useless.

Because of Trump and his inaction from the start, the U.S. is a week behind in its containment measures.

Trump should have enacted a national emergency soon after the first American died, not waiting till 1,000 of us have died!

    Aw... wait!

If China had warned the rest of the world a few weeks earlier it would have cut down on 95 percent of cases.

Investors "pulling back" is not the main issue. The massive loss of raw production power on the other hand is, the virus has been the greatest disturbing effect on the economy in US History. Not even the run on the banks in 1929, was the equivalent of what Corona has meant to the world and global economy.

While I will profess that we were headed into another bubble, our production was also virtually matching. If not for the virus, I do believe it would have been maintained(though not necessarily ideal because it's like working to keep it afloat. We needed government policies to reduce spending.)

It's the biggest elephant in the room, how much of our dollars goes to the federal government and how much longer are we to tolerate this state of affairs?

It's the exact opposite of how the Framers had economic policy, they believed the wealth of the nation was the wealth of its citizens.

"I'll do things Trump has already done, while saying he's not a leader." Electing Joe Biden(if we are in fact that stupid) would be like electing Neville Chamberlain all over again. Someone naive, someone totally out of his depth and someone we know is in the backpockets of the Chinese.

This is where Biden pretends to be president in front of a camera while someone tells him what to do in his ear piece so he doesn't forget what's he's doing. It's kind of pathetic.

    Worse?

    How?

That is a Great Ad (for Biden).

Contrasting Joe's Steady Hand with an Unhinged Vindictive IMBECILE (like Trump).

That said, I can see why Trump's Supporters may find it distressing.

If you want to think of it that way, sure think of it that way. Biden is not an improvement in anyway whatsoever. We do know he's a downgrade in his INTL sellout to a country that doesn't even have the food and animal protections we do.

Are you talking about the same Biden that is against the travel ban?
"Banning all travel from Europe — or any other part of the world — will not stop it."

So you think Biden's stupid but not as stupid as Trump. Sounds like a great platform to me. "Vote for Biden, he might not remember **** but he's not as stupid as Trump." That will get voters excited. (notice the sarcasm?)

Yes, but I get tired of the software censorship feature. Some journalists have finally realized that it's not normal for the presumptive nominee to have vanished for about a week during a time of national emergency. They are wondering where in the hell Joe Biden has gotten to. It reminds me of Hillary Clinton's last run for the presidency.

Remember how she would be very vocal and then just vanish for a week or two while Trump just kept plugging away? Then she'd show up again, acting as if her absence was a non-issue, blather for a few days in a row and then vanish again for a week or two. Now Joe is doing the same thing.

    Oh? Ok.

In any event, Election Night is a long way off.

And, this time Trump is going to LOSE.

Still, I think Biden's Virus Briefings are a Great Idea.

Joe Biden is going to step up and deliver the capable and competent leadership America needs in this time of crisis, just as soon as he figures out the dadgum internets talkie box.

Now we know that the Chinese authorities knew about this virus in their midst by the middle of last November. Oh, and if our wonderous 'intelligence' agencies were on top of these kinds of situations abroad, they would have at least said SOMETHING to somebody in our government about it, too. We need to investigate WHO in our government knew WHAT, and WHEN....

If China knew in mid november-why didn't they restrict travel at that time?

Why did WHO say this wasn't contagious?

What kind of intelligence assets do we have in China's medical infrastructure?

What did dems do in Jan and Feb about Coronavirus? Impeachment was the focus.

Trumps travel ban greatly helped the US.

I don't have any good answers to the questions you pose, but one thing stands out -- China will 'stonewall', deny, and cast blame anywhere but on themselves. This is a country where the government 'participates' in the ownership of Chinese companies, and so their chief concern (to the exclusion of all else) is keeping production schedules and making profits!

The World Health Organization's Tedros Adhanom was gushing suspicious amounts of praise on the Chinese in January... and events proved that he was nothing more than a gullible shill. It probably had nothing to do with the fact that ol' Teddy's home country of Ethiopia is up to its neck in involvement with China's "Belt-and-Road" initiatives, so we can be oh-so sure that his lavish praise was genuine....

As far as our own American 'intelligence' agencies are concerned...? Who the hell knows...? Besides, in fairness to some analyst in a cube in Langley, sifting through hours of boring 'briefing material', what's extraordinarily important about a seemingly recurring 'flu' episode in a bat-sucking, snake-eating, squat-toilet-sh!tting country like China...?
