'Teflon Joe' - Inconceivable, in the 'pariah' political realm, yet he ALWAYS gets a pass, lol... Just one example (that I happen to like very much) of Uncle Joe's Sage Wisdom... :)

Trump's campaigning on his employment record. Pennsylvania's a state Trump needs to hold onto, and the states labor / unemployment bureau just reported that unemployment is the lowest it's been since 1976. Wisconsin's rate dropped to 2.9%.

Will the fringe kook left, who now pull the strings in the Democratic Party, allow him to do so?

If Biden moves to the center, he will have to denounce and ridicule the kook left, and their Medicare for all, college for all, minimum income for all, the green new deal, etc... Do you think the current crazies in the Democratic Party will no destroy Biden for that?

Meanwhile, Bernie will have to go solid commie left to bash Biden, and when the smoke clears, Trump will win in a landslide.

Mayor Betelgeuse will be forced to side with and defend Biden or Bernie, which will only destroy him as well.

The morality thingy kind of set sail when Trump paid off porn stars he screwed while his wife was raising their new-born son.
Trump simply can't bring up morality at all in this election.

Besides, Hilary may be indicted for mishandling classified material, with her sentence commuted by Trump. I don't think a felon can be a vice president. ;)

Trump could make the distinction that his missteps were done while he was a civilian, while Biden's were committed while he was an elected politician, or the Vice President. As president, Trump has been the perfect family man.

Early front runners in our history have included Jerry Brown (remember him?) and Herman Cain.

I have a feeling Kamala Harris will catch on with progressives and that moderate Democrats will embrace her as "good enough."

She has the energy, the ethnicity and the gender that Biden lacks, and she doesn't have his baggage and history of saying stupid stuff.

Unemployment hasn't been a major issue since 2014 - so claiming that it will be a driving factor in this election is not realistic. People worry about unemployment when it's bad - not when things have been stable for years.

Nope - personality is going to be the driving force this year baring an economic down-turn or war.

Just saw Biden's soppy video with the sad piano music.

    What a dud!

The ad, I mean, not Biden. I've got nothing much against him ... just another preachy Democrat who's been in DC way too long. Probably a nice guy.

You honestly think that's going to fly with anyone but his core voters? His payment to porn stars was brought to light WHILE he was President. Swing voters will remember that. Swing voters see that Melania is uncomfortable around Trump and they see that she is uncomfortable as First Lady. Swing voters see the Drama Queen mentality Trump tweets out every day.

I agree about Clinton, but I think Trump has actually gained ground despite being, well for a lack of better terms, Trump.

Can Biden get the more progressives and swing voters to vote for him than HC? I just don't know. The base seems to have shifted significantly further left in response to Trump.

And if either party hopes to energize the minority vote with a rich old white guy they can forget it.

But hey, its not like I, being of the right, am that capable of understanding the left's mindset.

Well, it might fly, yes. People have long wondered at the "hypocrisy " of Evangelicals supporting Trump. They see him as deeply flawed ... but we are all flawed, and they hear that in church every Sunday.

    "Judge not, lest ..."

    "As we forgive those ...."

"Let he who is without sin cast the first
    stone."

When you add up all the good and all the bad, over their entire lives, who is a better person? Trump or Biden? How do you know?

Doesn't matter who runs of Dem ticket. It's extremely rare for a sitting president to not be re-elected. Like it or not we will have four more years of Trump.

Except Obama would come out hard campaigning for Biden - they really liked each other. And I know Obama is hated by the right, but he still carries a lot of weight for centrist and young voters. And Michelle O. has far better likability numbers than any other person in politics right now - so her endorsement is not without weight.

What was Trump's appeal in the rust belt swing states he won? I live in one of them, and I know it was job creation that won him my state. My states rate was 4.7% Jan 2019 ... it's 4.4% for March having added 20,300 jobs in Feb.

Republican Presidents have had a much harder time getting re-elected lately. Bush I didn't make it and Bush II barely squeaked by. I wouldn't put money on Trump getting re-elected until I see the final ticket the Dems come up with.

It will be a personality contest, and Harris has as much charisma as Trump.

True, she wants to have "a discussion" about reparations for descendants of slaves and voting rights for felons. Until she flip flopped.

You know I actually found DNA evidence of a distant ancestor from ... Africa. I wonder how big my check will be. Maybe $17.43, but hey ....

Obama is staying quiet. He'll probably need a giant push from the DNC to endorse the old fool.

Rust belt states don't determine elections these days - it's the swing states. Florida had some close elections in 2018. As I said - when things are good, it becomes more about personality than job numbers. And a lot of people don't like Trump's Drama Queen style.
