All part of the plan to prevent private ownership of assets.

YOU WILL OWN NOTHING, and you will be happy.

Yes, that's what they want you to think it's about.

Remember that you fell for it when you and your desdendents are locked into lifetime rent slavery.

Yeah, I can't understand why they would try to tax unrealized capital gains.

I only hope that when Genuine Americans retake Congress, the don't play nice like they did before. I hope the same for President Trump when he wins in 2024 - no more Mr. Nice Guy he should go after his enemies and the enemies of America like Josef Stalin would.

Bernie is a marxist to his core. There is a group of marxists in the house of representatives. The white house has marxists and Biden, probably out of ignorance, supports them. Not all of them are marxists but there are enough to pose a danger. I'm confident people will wise up and put these people out of business.

There are many, many things that are intentional wrongs, but the first thing to do is restore the mechanisms that create and sustain order- because chaos can never bring about a functional resolution.
I'm saying it will be necessary to create a working environment before any good work can be done from it. I fully expect that the GOP will retake both houses; I can't imagine that the average American has lost so much perception that they cannot see there is no other choice. Both parties have their sins however- and I'd very much like to see the next congress held to principles, on both sides of the aisle.

Imagine a football game where there were no referees on the field and it was up to the players to uphold the disciplines that make the game work. This is the state of congress right now, where playing by the rules is virtually surrender, so everybody discards their honor and does whatever they think they can get away with. Chaos needs to give way to order, and that order needs to have the power to restore the codes of honorable conduct- and then to remove any who fail to respect them.

    Lets work on it.

If you want to know what created the Depression, read this...

    https://www.federalreserve.gov/boarddocs/speeches/2004/200403022/default.htm

Your Rx for the Depression was why Republicans were turned out of power for decades.

Yes, they turned a recession into a depression. Thank goodness we didn't make a similar mistake in 2008-2009.

The economic and legal system are rigged against lower- and middle-income wage earners. Example? Right-to-work laws.

Trump fights, but, the balance of the rest of the GOP seem to mainly be in it for graft. I have been writing my Congressman, telling him to really think about whether McCarthy is the right choice for Speaker, rather than Scalise.

Yes the people at fault found some one else to blame. The fact of the matter is that the country had been having panics, depressions, and recessions every 20 years or so since it's founding as had every other country in the world since the advent of civilization. The worst ones usually happen when they government backed one mad scheme or the other that blew up in their faces. Usually it was made worse when government tried to help out. The Great depression was no exception and the mad scheme in this case was protective Tariffs passed by most of the countries in the world of which Smoot-Hawley is only the best know of many in the US alone. These insane implements of trade war ultimately collapsed world trade. And provoked a world wide depression and fully Demonstrated the futility of the mercantilist economic ideas then prevalent. Unfortunately the Keynesian cure prove no better in no small part because government then and now proved only that the more government medaled in thing economic, the more corrupt and tyrrsnicsl they became.

"Help out" is a term often confused with providing income assistance to the unemployed. The Republicans were turned out in the 1930s by desperate people.
Cutting the money supply was a huge mistake.
    I don't think so.

    GDP = C + I + G + (X - M)

(where "C" is consumption, "I" is investment, "G" is government spending, "X" is exports, and "I" is imports)

We had a huge drop in consumption and investment. Once this happens, government needs to take corrective action.

Taxing unrealized capital gains should be stopped dead its tracks.
