That large chunk also thinks they are the good guys.

I remember last year when wives started anonymously reporting their spouses to local govt for doing things like working instead of huddling in their homes it was going to get bad.

Many of those men were fired as a result.

If this was a year ago it wouldn't be the Haitian's plan not to stay, it would have been Trump's plan for them not to stay.

In your rage you are confused and mixed up beyond all reason. You complain about the death count under Biden at the same time you demand that people have the right to engage in behaviors that spread disease and death. Your logic is other worldly and bizarre and not to be taken serviously.

It's not Biden's fault that many are dying of the Covid-19. The Death rate is due to many republican citizens refusing to take the vaccine and crazy-ass sick Republican elected officials that legislate against mandating it. Also many would be avoiding the Delta Variant if they had vaccines in the first place. Your posts are confused and mixed up . You don't know what you want. You hate mandating but you complain that the Death rate under Biden is too high. Crazy mixed up contradictory logic is the hall mark of all your posts and there truly is no way to assuage your contorted bizarre other worldly view of things. Let me know when you land on planet earth with 2 feet. Biden cannot fight the death optional policies of sicko Ron DeSantis and others of his ilk.

This is breaking news that actually deserves its own thread. The CDC is caught in its pants lying to us...AGAIN. Of course the crisis continues unabated considering the CDC continues to lie to us. And if it continues to lie, that's the biggest reason for hesitation.

That situation speaks to what the vaccine pushers are willing to do. You blame the individual cops, but the situation would be the result of mandates.

ME (TO ANTIVAXXER): Why don't you want to take the vaccine?

    ANTIVAXXER: I don't trust.

ME (TO ANTIVAXXER): What are you willing to do?

ANTIVAXXER: Not take the shot...right now.

ME (TO MANDATE PUSHER): Why do you want to mandate the vaccine?

    MANDATE PUSHER: I trust.

ME (TO MANDATE PUSHER): What are you willing to do?

MANDATE PUSHER: Take people´s jobs and ability to buy food, deny life saving surgery, deny an education, give thousands myocarditis in my haste, censor antivaxxers online to inhibit their right to assemble, negatively impact the security of communities, deny the ability to enter gyms, entertainment venues, restaurants, supermarkets, and public transport, and if they try to leave the country, deny that as well. Oh, and lie.

I know which side I'm on.

If police officers refuse to do their jobs, you do what you always do: Find someone else to blame. Unfortunately the blame-game never solves anything.

I am simply saying that if they refuse to do their jobs, then we need to find someone who will.

Of course cops have not actually said they will refuse to do their jobs, - even the article did not say that.

Personally I know one person who won't take it (not a cop), and will take the boot instead. In his case, he was going to leave anyway.

The totality of actions that one side of this debate has been willing to take against their own people have convinced me I'm on the right side. These COVID vaccine mandates are wrong, and they will have many different deleterious effects on our society, including reduced security in some communities in the short term.

I am not arguing the mandates are right or wrong, I am simply saying that if cops refuse to do their jobs, then we need to find someone who will.

Its like having a military where everyone can choose which wars they want to fight based on their views and which orders they like to follow, and which they can disobey, but if that was the case, we would not have a military at all.

Taking a shot or not has nothing to do with refusal to do a job.

It's like when the military mandated the anthrax vaccine. They weren't as sure about it as they should have been to justify a mandate, and the level of risk was very disproportionate to the level of the mandate. And people instinctively knew this and resisted, and were separated. Surprisingly, many of the groups and people who supported this resistance back then, have totally abandoned their previous lines of thought concerning today's mandates. I took it with mild verbal resistance. I look back on my leaders' force in a very negative light.

If the city policy makes it a requirement for the job, then it has everything to do with it. What would the city do, if a large number of cops refused the shot, and then there is another spike and half the force it out sick for weeks?

What happens if everyone has the shot, and a new variant puts half the force out of work anyway? Then you wrecked lives for nothing, and that's why it's morally wrong.

This is the key sentence in your reply, and it's critical to the entire mandate movement. Because if no one is "spreading disease" (or everyone is), there isn't a public health justification. And now studies are coming out that appear to show that the more vaccinated a country is, the higher the transmission. For example, out of 50 or so low transmission counties in the US (as classified by the CDC), 26% are counties with under 20% vaccination rates. Singapore is experiencing its highest transmission rates since the pandemic began, and they are 80+% vaccinated.

Although the left is the one pushing, I don't see much resistance from the right in power. DeSantis, Paul, Nome, Gabbard (not right I know), and Abbot come to mind on resistance, and not many more.

Ok, yes, if you refuse to follow orders / corporate policies, you will likely get fired and then obviously you will not get paid. In the end of the day it is a personal choice.
