Of course trump's insane denial and mismanagement of pandemic has wreaked havoc on the economy. Trump is the reason the US has done a worse managing this than almost every other nation on earth - a quantifiable number.

Oh yes, and he is responsible for probably 300,000 unnecessary deaths. Trump has killed more Americans than any other individual or country in history.

Absurd comparisons. Pretending the virus had no effect.

The Democratic primary began well before the virus hit the US. Polls were showing that several of the Democratic candidates were likely to beat the Trump. In some parts of the country, the Trump was polling so lowly that it was joked a wet paper bag could have beaten him in a fair election.

Have I not, for the past four years, been pointing out that McSally in Arizona and Gardner in Colorado were going to lose to whichever Democrat ran against them and both states were going to vote for whoever the Democratic challenger to the Trump was going to be. And that the Republican corrupted states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, because of the spotlight on them, would have fairer elections, of which the Trump was sure to lose.

    In any case,

    bye, bye Donnie
    bye bye Donnie
    Donnie bye bye

    and good riddance.

Diversion. My point had nothing to do with the election. I was challenging the unemployment numbers and democrats trying to pretend the virus should have had no effect on the unemployment numbers.

Where did I claim it didn’t? Do you claim the bush recession Obama inherited had no effect?

reality remains. Trumps economy performed worse than Obama’s, and Carter’s.

Not even in the same galaxy.

nowhere did I mention the virus. I pointed out the economic facts. Trumps economy performed worse than Obama’s.

Absolutely the virus had an impact on the numbers, and The Orange one's handling of the virus had an impact on
the numbers. You are trying to claim that 2020 didn't happen at all or shouldn't be counted. Sorry, history doesn't
work that way. His numbers are what the are - and they are in the basement of Presidential numbers.

Remember that conservatives claimed that Obama's inability to get above a 3.0% GDP growth rate was proof positive
that Obama was a bad President. Guess what? The Orange One is leaving office with a 0.4%GDP average and
never had a year above 2.9% GDP growth even before Covid. Even Carter had better numbers. Is what it is.

That is the point. You did not mention the virus or take it account that it had an effect.

Do you believe the unemployment rate should have dropped as much for Trump as it did for Obama?

I don't have a problem talking about the pandemic and how it was handled. But don't spout baloney that the unemployment numbers if you are going to use only the beginning and end of the administrations and leave out what happened in between.

Just like I didn’t mention Obama’s inheritance of the worst recession in record since ww2.

I believe the UE should not have been higher when trump left office than when he entered.

the facts remain. Trumps economy performed worse than Obama’s and Carter’s. The virus certainly hurt, but his economy was not performing as well as Obama’s even pre pandemic.

It doesn’t matter how badly you wish otherwise. Trumps economy performed worse than Obama’s. Both pre and post pandemic.

But that is ignoring the pandemic.
The unemployment rate says differently. It was lower before the pandemic under Trump than when Obama left office.

Life is what it is. Every President has factors that arise from the outside world. You don't get to discount them just
because it has a negative impact on your Orange god. It's like saying that Bush had a great economy if you just ignore his last year in office, or Obama had a decent economy if you just ignore his first 18 months. Life doesn't work that way, sorry.

Do you think that Hillary would have had a better unemployment rate in January 2021 than in January 2017?

Do you think deflecting to Clinton has any relevance to the fact trumps economy performed worse than Obama’s pre and post pandemic?

You claimed that Trump's unemployment rate should have been lower in January 2021 than in January 2017. I would like to know whether you would have expected the same miracle out of Hilary.

How was she going to accomplish this miracle? By keeping businesses open?
