Incorrect. 2/3 of the "9000 leases" are in the process of development and stalled. Federal government won't approve necessary permits - roads, pipelines, drilling rigs. It is a red herring. Government can't renege on a lease. But it can make the leases useless. The oil companies don't want to invest any more money in such a toxic environment. For someone who likely approves of buying oil from Venezuela or Iran your comment about Canadian oil simply angers me. Why is Biden interfering with Canadian oil? I'm sure you can answer that. We are producing 1.5 million barrels per day LESS than we produced in 2019 according to government figures by the way. Oil company profits relate to the price of oil, not the brilliance of oil company management or federal government attempts to destroy the industry. You bought the government lies about covid and now you are buying the lies about oil production. It is hopeless until we get a better administration. Go do more reading. You only have one side of the story.
