You are probably on the right track. My guess is that his age may be a factor in the mind of the judge on sentencing though it should not be. The punishment needs to fit the crime not the age of the criminal or the wealth or how well he is know. I am sure Cosby will be treated with kid's gloves but he should not be.
Given the large number of women raped and the publicity I predict he will get 10 years and die in prison. Hopefully this is what will happen. He is a sick [expletive].
Now was Sandulsky the boy raper in his 70's and didn't he go to jail about that Congress Puke Hasert he was at least near 70 or so I think he went to jail. I understand raping kids is worse that raping adults but still Cosby committed crimes.
Justice should be a punishment as close to the crime(s) committed. The current rehabilitation and prison industry approach for convicted criminals is not justice. Justice is an eye for an eye. No doubt you disagree, but may change your tune if you or a family member are a victim of a heinous crime.
Look at all those Catholic "priests" and TV eangelists and Evengenital Ministers who poked all the while they spoke of the word of God.
I think he even had the temerity to lecture young black men on sagging pants. I guess to him drugging and raping women was OK but sagging pants were not OK. It will be a real travesty if he does not do time in a real prison.
is anyone surprised, as many accusers as he had, one or even two.. maybe... but the more independent accusers ya got, the more change your not innocent
But I do agree and that is why I am grateful to live where my rage is not considered by the courts. If someone harmed my family, I would want them to suffer death by a thousand cuts.
No one has a monopoly of hypocrisy. Not Cosby, not religious figures...not the so called feminists who defend some abusive behavior when it comes from friends on the left. No one.
You had a good honest intelligent post going then you turned into political partisan ideological crap. Too bad !Too sad!
I agree. I'm also a believer in justice through revenge when possible. When it's not, if a court finds someone guilty that same court should let the victim administer justice or at least make it an option. If you think about it, victims never get justice, they get what someone else decides and and that's all they get.
Wow, didn't see that coming. I haven't really kept up on this one though. I have my doubts Cosby will see the inside of a jail cell. We'll see after sentencing I guess.
We should let the ladies loose on him with broomsticks, metal pipes, and various proctological tools of their chooosing.
Actually I think you did first when you veered off course to reflexively bring religious figures into this matter that have nothing to do with Bill Cosby and his sickness. It's ironic you'd call me out for this.
And THAT is why Cosby was singled out. What he did was a crime, but it was the behavior of just about every rich/powerful man in Hollywood and Washington in that same era - the era of Quaaludes. Did no one ever see the movie "How to Murder your Wife"? where the supposed high spot was when Jack Lemon drugged his wife and another woman? Or the "Wolf of Wall Street" where the funniest scene was when he was high on Quaaludes and trying to get up the stairs? I'm frankly a little surprised at the venom you all show a guy who did the same thing your favorite Rock Star or sports hero of those decades did. I find it heartbreaking and a touch disingenuous. We are looking backward and applying our present standards to an era where drugged sex was considered cool, and the misogyny against women was high. Not that he shouldn't be punished for his crimes. But something else is going on here. The Hollywood community knew about Cosby a decade earlier, and kept quiet just as they did with Weinstein and all the rest in their midst. The difference was that Cosby lectured the black community to wake up, and that's what threatened the Left and scared them into action. Cosby is being singled out and ganged up on like the Left always does - march out a string of hoochies to make accusations of sex crimes. All because he had the gall to tell the black community to pull up their pants and quit relying on the government. Now they can gleefully burn him at the stake and make sure the Huxtable legacy dies with him. Lets see who they bring on against Candace Owens.
