If one family or group has enough resources the can infringe upon the rights of others just as bad, if not worse (sometimes), than a government can. With enough money, they can become the government. Ever heard of monarchies?

Without inheritance taxes and regulation, the Rockefeller family would probably own america by now.

That's terrible. Maybe we should jump on board with progressive gun grabbers...who whine incessantly about the dangers of these modern day aristocracies taking hold (if we don't tax them into oblivion)... and let the oligarchs and armed government tyrants go ahead and disarm us.

I'm basically saying such will never be allowed to get too far in a free and armed society....and illuminating a bit of irony in the process ;)

Well, whaddayaknow...there IS a need for that pesky, antiquated, dusty old US Constitution after all....

(to prevent such populist tyranny of the majority...purchased, or otherwise...from ever gaining a toehold. Now if we can only get "about half" of the country to understand and respect the vital importance of the document, we may never see another "FORWARD!" to Utopia" progressive puke elected to political office :) )

Wouldn't be too difficult. Introduce any number of anti-androgen drugs, such as cyproterone acetate or the birth-control drug Depo-Provera into the water supply. The antipsychotic agent Benperidol can also be sued for chemical castration. Of course this would have to be long-term as eventually the process would reverse itself after the dosage decreases or stops.

We can begin by saturating low income areas first...watch the statistical drop in child births to test it's effectiveness and move out into the lower middle class suburbs.

    This is hypothetically...doable.

Aerial sprays can be used in remote areas which are remote to an existing water grid

This might be ok in Aussie Land ... but in conservative America, this would be murder or attempted murder of a zygote.

It would be morally reprehensible to do this...I'm merely saying it's hypothetically..."doable"...at least on smaller scale.

There are already traces of anti-depressants and other pharmaceuticals in most city water supplies....which are not filtered out in the water purification process...sperm counts are already dropping in terms of what they were prior to chemical exposure. The vast majority of water systems recycle liquid waste...what we pee out, is filtered and re-processed into drinking water. However trace chemicals in our urine make it through the process...we're slowly drugging ourselves by consuming municipal water.....ramping up the process could indeed provide a means of chemical castration...on a smaller scale.

do you have any idea how little of our "drinking" water is actually consumed by a person? less than 1/1000th. just treat the bottled water and you'll get more effect and take the d-bags out of the gene pool too.

6th Century Dark Ages conservative principles supercedes everything else ... besides, America is under the onslaught of sequestration and austerity furthered by anything related to science that benefits mankind as *science straight from the pit of hell* ... so this kind of funding is auto-killed in the conservative-majority held House of Representatives ...

if you meant "your", none that i've seen. what he didn't do was tear down and rebuild every rest area at once while screaming for a tax boost because the state was broke.

You can have all the 12 gauge shot guns you want. What happens in the future when someone with half a trillion in the bank decides to bring in mercenar.. *cough* *cough* "contractors" I mean, with real military grade equipment to cement their power though? What if that person also happens to be the owner of a strategic resource, like water reserves?

I'm saying the government, which is the collective will of the people, should always be stronger than any one individual or conclave can become. Because if a person/conclave can become more powerful than the government, then there is nothing stopping them from exerting their will upon the government, and every citizen of the country if they so desire.

A representative government is governed by the will of the people. A government ruled by a self interest capitalist is governed by a self interest capitalist.
