Mr. Hankey, spokesman for #BMM, says maybe we should cut the government checks from those BLM marchers so that they can go get jobs....

Well since you researched it you would also know that she likes the former Black Liberation Army and she idolizes one of them who happens to be on the FBI Terrorist list.

Racism does not combat perceived racism it just spreads it.

If Blacks are being "oppressed" its by the other Blacks that are killing them. Of course the solution for these idiots to this problem as always is to blame whitey....

BS, they're just another Black shakedown organization modeled after other shyster's such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Black problems are brought about by themselves and a culture they and the Democratic Party have made for them. The excuses are just getting old now.

They are no better than the Black Panthers. They CHEER when a cop dies, even a BLACK cop. There is no oppression.

In my opinion the BLM is not accomplishing what it claims to strive for and is actually doing the opposite in many ways. Non-Blacks generally feel negatively about what they are doing and the attitude it puts forward, this generates even more separation within our society and has created a distrust of both them and the people they claim to represent. Added to this is the perception (often justified) of violent actions and lawlessness....likely when this fades black people will be even worse off than before it began.

Personally, I tended to simply avoid or shy away from black men when possible....Now I purposefully consider them a threat.

Right. So, who would promote 'racism' per se? (Doesn't seem sane to me.)

    - - - Updated - - -

You aren't being realistic in saying that. It is as if you don't know what you are talking about... but I suspect you do.

That's just more denial. A view/attitude that has been contributing to the perpetuation of the very ills that BLM will surely attempt to address.

How can problems be resolved, if people deny/ignore them?

I wish that you would become a part of the solution.

    - - - Updated - - -

You are making that comparison for what reasons? The two groups aren't anywhere near the same. Of course, that may be your perception and BLM can't help what a few misguided individuals think of the movement.

    BLM promotes racism.

Of course my posts are logical and realistic.

They are a vile, racist, hate group that calls for the execution of police officers. They wear tee shirts that say "Assata taught me" which is a reference to their hero Joanne Chesimard, a member of the Black Panthers who murdered a cop. You had better read up because I think you are misguided.

    No, it does not.

There may be a few back actors within the movement (no surprise there, it's as American as apple pie)... but BLM is not 'about' racism per se.

You are not relating the truth.

    - - - Updated - - -

No. You are generally wrong about that. Some people within the movement have been wrong or radical in their rhetoric... but what you are describing is NOT the 'movement' itself.

It looks like you were more interested and did more extensive research than my quick Google search. I don't know if you're right or wrong.

I want my party back. The party of Roosevelt, Truman and JFK. This democrat party is morally bankrupt and corrupt to the core.

If the Tea Party is racist because of a few bad apples, then so is BLM.

Truth. Do you need the evidence? I can provide many sources from the left calling the Tea Party racist.

The "movement" happens to a pack of violent bullies that advocate killing law enforcement , defend criminals, and love pushing around moron democrats .

"Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."

That's not my point. Even so, the Tea Party has been around awhile, and expressed a large amount number of racist commentary (and values) over quite a significant amount of time. It will not be easy for you to exonerate them here, as far as I'm concerned.

I hope outcomes are favorable for all Americans, with respect to each of these movements nevertheless.

    Regards.

I really have not paid much attention to them. But if black lives matter so much, I think they should concentrate on their own community where blacks commit over half of all homicides and 93% of those blacks kill are other blacks. Just my two cents.

Of course it is based on racism.. Look at the three founders.. Get your eyeballs trained on something besides Salon and perhaps you would know what you are talking about.

    - - - Updated - - -

And seems you have zero interest in finding out the truth.... Not up to me to educate you.

You are oversimplifying things. BLM isn't the same as the picture you are attempting to paint.

I will only agree that (as any movement) it's ways have not been perfect. And relatively speaking, the movement is in its infancy... but the problems it largely seeks to address is are VERY 'old' and 'lingering'. Getting to those and dealing with them, will not be 'painless' for this society.
