How does poverty make someone more likely to commit rape?

Blacks were a lot more impoverished in the 30's and 40's when 1 out of every 2 blacks was unemployed. We didn't see this level of crime from the black community, then. Sometime after the progressive social revolution of the 1960's, when the Government started incentivizing women to have children born out of wedlock, which destroyed the black family unit, this kind of criminality began.

Furthermore, in the category of sexual assault, whites made up nearly 75% of all offenders imprisoned for sexual assault vs. 23% for blacks and 3% for other races. The U.S government also found that 52% vs 44% of sexual offenders were white and black, respectively.

In 2010, the Justice Department reported a disturbing trend where "American child sex tourists typically are Caucasian males aged 40 or older. Such predators may be either situational or preferential child sex tourists. . . I don't doubt that you have friends and family of other races. But "as many"? Doesn't seem plausible.

 

Poverty can bring with it anger and hostility. That manifests itself in many ways.
However, poverty is not a black only problem. Many non blacks and native Americans live in "poverty"

I would agree that the government has brought on a great deal of the problems we have today, but I will also say that
the government was instrumental in bringing about change in the way blacks were treated in early America.

Today, the government is bringing about the way Caucasians are being treated in America.

 

I've seen them mention it, but if you think it gets the same attention as when a white guy shoots a black guy or a white cop shoots a black thug, you must not watch TV or read ANYTHING except Progressive blogs. C'mon, people burned down their own town, ruined businesses and innocent lives over a fabricated LIE and that LIE was supported by Obama and loads of black leaders. Also, socioeconomics is NOT the only problem, because if it was, the percentages of violence, unmarried parents, graduation rates, ect, would be equal across all races, but its not. And lets not forget, Obama and Shapton rarely point at the crux of the problem and often blame it on wealthy people. They leave out "WHITE"(most of the time), because hey, they're all good like that. But anyone with a brain knows exactly who they're talking about.

The only prominent black man that told it like it was, was Cosby, but now he's a pariah=)

Sorry, but he was NOTHING like Holmes. Holmes had no interest in starting a race war.. he just wanted to kill people.

I'm a gun owner, so not likely. I would simply like to keep them out of the hands of kooks and criminals.

What your source (and mine) leave out is that "white" includes nearly all crimes committed by Hispanics. The FBI crime statistics are going to start separating these out in the future, which should be a very helpful thing in seeing just how disproportionately high some of these crime statistics are in certain ethnic groups.

Both your source and mine show that blacks commit a disproportionately high amount of rapes relative to their population size. 23% in your statistic, 31.8% in mine. "Whites" would be committing a disproportionately low amount of rapes relative to their population size according to these statistics, as the percentage of whites + Hispanics would be over 80%, yet only 65% of the rapes were committed by these groups.

So you can call "BS" as long as you're willing to ignore reality, which isn't very out of the ordinary when one believes in progressivism.

No, i've no interest in making those decisions. Only in a comprehensive national database that measures risk in both criminal conduct and mental issue history.

 

The people you elect to make those decisions would likely have the same subjective opinions on what comprises a "kook" - like someone who doesn't vote for politicians like Obama. It's just a vague way of advocating for gun bans without actually saying so.

The true goal of "gun control" proponents isn't politically advantageous yet, so proponents need to hide their objectives under the guise of "common sense reform" like keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, which is already the law on the books. That's not enough, though.

 

yeah, no thanks. The federal government has done enough damage to this country. Look what they do with the IRS. Giving them more databases and power is just begging for further abuse. All i need to protect myself is my own gun. I'll take self reliance over government interference any day. As long as I am armed, I am comfortable with the thought of criminals being armed as well. If you are that concerned over crazies getting guns, then arm yourself.

So you want to rid the nation of HIPAA and your right to privacy by law? Mental Health is protected under many laws. Both mental health and physician care privacy is protected under federal law. You sign to acknowledge these rights every time you go to a new doctor.
