We call it selective sampling in political science. Your basically pulling isolated statistics in order to try and find a basis for a controversy. If I wanted too I could research attacks against women who've lost their left leg and make a claim that violence against left legged amputee's is increasing at an alarming rate while purposefully leaving out statistics about right legged amputee's or people with both legs.

I'm responding to this part in your link: I'm disputing that we are in the middle of an epidemic as the author proposes and stating that he is selectively pulling statistics to try and validate his claim. In order to have an accurate assessment you would need to look at previous years of black on white violence to see if it has increased while also looking at white on black, latino's and asians to see if there is an overall trend, whether it is increasing or decreasing and whether its just blacks doing it or other races as well. You also need to look at where its happening, are blacks going outside of their neighborhoods for the strict purpose of causing violence to whites or is it more situational? This author is extremely biased in his researching because he has a goal of trying to propagate a race war.
