No. Both can be married. Both can be married to each other.
If you want to scream about gays being a sin, adultery is in the same category. And if you're talking sin, you're talking bible. And you must use the bibles definition of divorce and adultery.
I think you're just making up you own special definitions. Which is why you are wrong 100% of the time on the topic. You and every other christian who doesn't understand the bible and adultery.
Just about all the whiners of gays are in their 2nd or more marriage here and are adultereres and hypocrites.

If flew right over his head. Not surprised though. Most hypocrites don't know they are hypocrites. Even when spelled out to them in great detail.

Stating that you "didn't need a license for a one of them." implies that you did need a license for two of them.

What kind of business did you operate that did not require a license in Texas. I ask because issuing licenses is a source of revenue for States. I'm curious as to which business slipped through the cracks.

I didn't need a license for ANY OF THEM.

A sales tax PERMIT is not a license to conduct business it is a permit to collect sales tax.

Business Permits and Tax Registration. As part of its business-friendly approach, the state of Texas and many cities and towns in the state do not mandate a general business license.

Then what is the point of bringing up adultery?
To christians, which are the most against gays, adultery is most certainly with 2 married people if they've been married before and aren't divorced only by the rules of the bible.

If you don't care about christian rules, then there is no discussion to have with you. Debating with one who wants to hate just for the heck of it, isn't worth it. But I knew that about you before.

How did the state know you were a business? How did they collect income taxes from your business if they didn't know you operated a business?
How did you register a business name? How did you get a tax ID number?

Trump was enough in 2016; your BS is just unnecessary excess.

Yes. It is the same thing that too many do with racism; get it to a place in their minds where they can believe they are separated from the very problem(s) they discuss.

None of us are perfect and to some degree, all of our imperfections 'combine' to contribute to this world's problems. The only way to mitigate that, is to lean toward making things better. That is, if we take 1000 steps to accomplish a thing (or take a journey), as human beings we can or will trip, stumble, fall and become tired. So, out of those thousand steps... some my not be so fruitful; but that need not end pursuit of the goal being striven for. There are practical reasons that the Bible and other belief systems encourage people in the endeavor to do good and right; it's because we're human.

So, for all the hypocrites we have out here... there are many more decent and sane people trying to make things better. In as much as it concerns me... (and this seems to be a proper resolution going forward):

I'm done entertaining or necessarily opposing mindsets pointed in what I view to be bad directions. It's like trying to physically force someone to stop being addicted to something; it's a waste of time and it is essentially 'futile'. And that is where MANY topics are in America. They are simply to the point where they've been talked out of proportion. Now, it is time to 'do'. I'm going to focus primarily upon doing the good I can do myself.

Political and legal battles are where we are now.

2018 is on the way. I hope people vote AGAINST fear, hatred and oppression... unlike the way too many they voted in Nov. 2016.

Here is my offending statement again

Not a word of where I "criticize" anyone "unnecessary excess" OR "BS". Got any other baseless allegations for me to knock down?

If you are not charging a sales tax, not engaged in specific businesses that do require a license, the state of Texas isn't aware. We have no state Income taxes. AND a federal tax or employer ID isn't a license

You would need to ask Johnny.

I think he is mad because the Christians aren't as hard on the adulterers with the criticism, as they are on the homosexuals.

Click on License types on the top left and it lists the types of businesses that need a license. Most businesses have no licensing requirements.

Where did I push “born homosexual” narrative? I don’t understand homosexuality any more than I understand how a grown man could believe a virgin gave birth to their savior.

Also, those who believe in religion are in no position to be asking for proof, medical or otherwise.

Don’t assume I am a leftist because I believe in equality. I am behind our new president and hope he gets things done. I believe that the overreach of the left is the reason he got elected. If he should make the same mistakes and give special legal privileges to religious groups, this will hand a victory right back to the left.

I believe it is clear where we disagree and no further clarification will be necessary. I appreciate the polite conversation.

    Merry Christmas

Equality would involve prohibiting discrimination against anybody. These public accommodation laws that only prohibit discrimination on certain classifications of people and do not prohibit discrimination against others, is UNEQUAL by design.

No. It involves applying discrimination equally. You may discriminate against customers with no shoes, no shirt, ski mask, etc. Protected classes are created by complaints like these. If there are no complaints, no class is created. Which group, in your opinion, is currently having an issue?

Exactally - that's the entire crux of the issue, Christians don't want to give up benefits but want to deny them to others - seems to be the trend.

No one is mad - it just destroys the "religious freedom" argument as they are only allowing it for homosexuals. For this reason alone it will not stand legal scrutiny..

Not quoting the entirety of a post is not "altering" it in any way intended by the rules. For cryin' out loud, you know as well as I do that I haven't misquoted anything you've said. You're making a semantic fuss over nothing.

You can discriminate against ugly people. You can discriminate against fat people, as long as you don't consider being fat a disability. Discriminate against people with large noses. Discriminate against people because of the way they cut their hair. . You just cant discriminate on the basis of "race, color, religion, or national origin" under federal law. Not even sex is included. And then a minority of states and local governments have included sexual orientation and other classifications. ANY other basis of discrimination is perfectly legal no matter how illogical or bigoted. The practical effect is that if you decide to discriminate against an ugly fat guy with a huge nose and ridiculous haircut youre fine. But if he just so happens to be gay, it is presumed you discriminated against him on the basis of sexual orientation and therefore worth a few $100 grand to the fat ugly guy.

Or a better example. Imagine you own a bar. You invite members of a local motorcycle club to hold their meetings at your bar to get more business. They are all middle class working clas guys and some professionals who like to ride, NEVER causing any problems and bringing in extra business when they meet. But, as time goes on your other customers start to drop off. Walk in traffic slows to a near halt, you hear because the bikes parked outside lead people to believe its a biker bar. Some of your female customers complain they don't feel comfortable around biker "gangs". So you call the club president and ask him nicely that you would prefer that the club no longer hold their meetings at the bar because its causing your other business to drop off. They likely would do so, and if they didn't, you could ban any member of the club from ever returning to your bar again, tell them to (*)(*)(*)(*) off, and there isn't a thing they could do about it. If one of them showed up you could have the police forceably remove him and give him a written warning that if he ever returns he will automatically arrested. Motorcycle club members aren't a protected class.

Now change the facts above, instead of a motorcycle club its the "T-girls" club. Transvestite, Transgendered or Tranny. Your business drops off and you nicely ask them to not hold their meetings there because your business is dropping off because the walk in traffic assumes its a gay or transvestite bar and the women customers complain of all the guys in the womens room. AND BOOMMMM!!!!! You owe them $400,000
    http://www.oregonlive.com/business/index.ssf/2015/09/oregon_court_of_appeals_uphold.html
even though in both cases, the discrimination had nothing to do with being bikers in the first case and nothing to do with being a tranny in the second. In both cases you invited them in to hold their meetings knowing full well they were bikers and trannys.

Like I said UNEQUAL BY DESIGN!!!!!!! so don't give me this (*)(*)(*)(*) about "equality".

I'm an atheist in Texas where we don't put such silliness into the law and are currently resisting Obamas efforts to do so by executive dictates.

Johnny is frequently mad. And I don't believe the Christian god limited marriage to men and women in order to exclude homosexuals and instead did so to include all of those couples who could procreate. And so would also exclude two heterosexuals of the same sex. It isn't their sexual orientation that prohibits procreation, it is their SEX . Just as a Christian baker would be equally opposed to creating a same sex wedding cake for two heterosexuals of the same sex who wanted to marry for the benefits.

Well, your post was 4 statements and one question. I choose two of the statements to quote and respond to. As far as the rest of your post, I don't believe the rights of citizens should vary by the amounts of their complaints AND calling this variance in rights an "equality" of rights doesn't make it so when it is unequal by design.

Discrimination against religious preferences is illegal by federal law.

There is no such thing as a gay cake and public law should not bend to they cherry picked passages of a fairytale.

Then that's what ya shoulda said.

I am well aware of the difference, but that's not what we were discussing.

I didn't ask how to get a business license in Texas. I asked what three businesses you owned that did not require a license. If you don't want to say which businesses you owned that did not require a license just say so and stop dancing around.
