    Big if true.

Bloomberg preparing to file for Alabama presidential primary

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is preparing to file paperwork to qualify for the Democratic presidential primary in Alabama, ahead of a Friday deadline. The move would be a first step toward a national campaign, though Bloomberg has not made a final decision to run.

"We now need to finish the job and ensure that Trump is defeated — but Mike is increasingly concerned that the current field of candidates is not well positioned to do that," longtime Bloomberg aide Howard Wolfson said in an email.

I would rather go for Biden, and I don't even like Biden. It will look like Bloomberg is trying to buy the primary. The others have all put their time in and campaigned hard. Even Trump, who I detest, has earned it more than Bloomberg. He's actually out there campaigning with governors and trying to get his people reelected. Trump, the President, is a narcissitic lazy moron. Trump, the party leader, has endless amounts of stamina. I've never seen anything like it from a guy his age. Rally after rally.

And do we really need another billionaire candidate?

You might-the DNC is broke and dems are struggling with fundraising.

By the general election, Trump will have a billion funding his campaign from donations.

Dems would need to fund raise 6 million a day from june until election day to match that.

Maybe, but I think Bloomberg represents a serious threat and a serious candidate. He's toyed with jumping in before, but always said he would only do it if he thought he had a serious chance to win.

I think he may. With Biden faltering, and Warren rising, the Wall Street Democratic donors may finally have been hoist by their own petard. Warren wants a wealth tax and wants to break up the Social Media tech giants. A Bloomberg candidacy could represent an opportunity for Wall Street and Twitter/Facebook/Google to buy their own candidate, and they have lots of money and lots of social media savvy to do just that.

More money than God. Should be an interesting back and forth with The Fake Indian. I think he could win the nomination. Or at least buy the nomination.

Apparently he donated big bucks in Virginia for the elections there on tuesday.

And he does still have an active part in his media holdings.

But does he have SJW/identity politics cred? That probably matters more than policy, especially since he has at least two strikes against him already.

He was a proponent of stop and frisk in NYC.

The BLM crowd isn't going to like that.

He doesn't, but neither did Biden. Biden's problem wasn't that, it was coming off as a doddering old grandpa during the debates. Plus, he has the potential to attract far more money than Warren.

It wouldn't be so obvious if there wasn't room for a new candidate, which I suspect there is.

    Exactly.

If Biden tanks early, they need a realistic alternative to Liz.

I like Mikkie, but I don't think he will play well in the midwest and among working class white voters. Among black voters?? He enters with a few strikes against him: he's late to enter, he's from NYC, and he's a billionaire. I'm a business man and a fan of large corporations, and wouldn't dream of running because that would color my judgment. It will his too.

    Bloomberg, the Globalist

Plus these rich billionaires that think they know better than everyone else all want a shot at being President.

No chance Bloomberg is going to get the nomination.
