If we're going to open a discussion revolving around how people are treated differently by the criminal justice system, then we should probably include some information about how the criminal justice system treats both groups A and B

The topic is the mathematic relationship between Americans of African descent being killed by police and police being killed by Americans of African descent.

 

I see some people still trotting out the “the blacks are just more prone to committing crime” trope to cover for their denial of systemic racism and white privilege.

 

How does systemic racismand white privilege cause 6% of our population to commit 30% of our total rape?

 

Uh no sir. The crime report includes Hispanics as whites.

Furthermore even IF those statistics were all white people (which they’re not) 69.4% is right in line with their total population rate. Whereas the black population makes up 13% of the total population and commits 25% of the total crime. Which is DOUBLE their representation in criminal activity.

Now let’s look at only violent crime shall we? Blacks make up 13% of the total population and yet they commit:

51.2% of the total murder
26% of the total rape
52.7% of the total robberies
33.2% of the total assaults
28% of the total burglaries and
36.4% of the total violent arsons

That makes black people overrepresented in LITERALLY every category of violent crime that we keep track of by AT LEAST DOUBLE their population rate and in some cases 4-5x their population rate.

Whereas not ONE other race is overrepresented in even ONE category of violent crime... much less every single one of them.

Please spare us your absurd comparisons to white and black crime.

I don't k now where you got your BS statistics from but in 2021 203 blacks were shot and killed by law enforcement while a total of only 73 law enforcement were intentionally killed in the line of duty. The blacks 203 count is from NEWSWEEK which published a list with names of the blacks shot. The law enforcement number is from FBI statistics. The 73 law enforcement killed was from all races not jut black

LOL Why am I not surprised that you’re concerned about racial purity. And did you forget there are black Hispanics? So, if you want to take them out of the white totals you need to do it for the black total, too. Easiest route is to apply the “white only” and “black only” population percentages (per Census) of 61.6% and 12.4%.

End result is that “white only” commit 60.1% of total crimes; “black only” commit 23.3%.

So, this is how it averages out. And, yes, the black population is clearly over-represented overall, and significantly over-represented for certain crimes. Did I ever say otherwise? No.

Providing percentages is not making “absurd comparisons.” It’s providing data.

What IS absurd, is that YOU are making comparisons with no regard to anything but the color of people’s skin. The color of a person’s skin does not - obviously - cause people to commit or not commit a crime.

Why is it good enough for the DOJ? Because - again - there is no other source for this data, other than the National Crime Victimization Survey. In compiling it's reports, the DoJ often uses both as a source, because one is via law enforcement, the other via victims. BUT it will always and only use one or both when this type of data is needed because there is no other source for crime broken down by race.

Furthermore, in the FBI/UCR an arrest is a cleared crime. The FBI/UCR does not track subsequent prosecutions and convictions.
