With Senator Carr's Malaysian-born wife Helena not far away, the former British PM warned Australia risked being taken over by Asian migrants. "(She said) that if we allowed too much of it we'd see the natives of the land, the European settlers, overtaken by migrants," he said. "I couldn't believe it." The topic of immigration is a genuine issue for any country, and as in any issue concerning any country, it should be discussed openly and honestly.
