Jesus (*)(*)(*)(*)ing Christ. I have the right to speak against someone even if they have the right to say it.

Absolutely, just as people have the right to believe that marriage is a heterosexual institution.

I didnt make any comment in which I referred to Katter as a farmer. Perhaps you are experiencing hallucinations.

It was Katter in 1989, then a Qld minister, who introduced the law that took farmers rights away and gave miners free access to their properties.

Makes you wonder why the other parties, especially Labor, are not trumpeting this from the roof tops, given Katter's position on the issue today.

LOL. Years ago, one of my old teachers asked me to reveal the secret to making money, I told her "never waste your time doing homework when there`s football to play, and girls to chase". Needless to say, my accademic career was never a shining light.

I think you will find that that was the begginning of the end between Katter and the National party, even though it took several years to finally end. I think by memory that Katter actually crossed the floor on that occassion.

You are absolutely right. Bob Katter has always shown himself to be a very sensible man of high intellect:

From an early age, he courted controversy. He wasn't 20 when the Beatles touched down in Brisbane during their 1964 tour of Australia. He and some friends joined the adoring fans but instead of offering adulation, they pelted the Fab Four with eggs. The next day, the Beatles manager appealed for the egg throwers to come forward so Katter and his mates - now all prominent accountants and lawyers - presented themselves.

"I was explaining that it was an intellectual reaction against Beatlemania.

Good job too. Those Beatle clowns were obviously homosexual.

Sorry you are all wrong. He is a career politician like so many that we have these days. Difference is that he is a little more old school. He believes he is employed by his constituants not a party. He is answerable to them not a party. His beliefs seem a little 1950's .lol. They have some common sense policies but also some dubious ones to say the least. This seems to make him a maverick/redneck in the south but a good bloke in the North and west. As they say can't please all the people all the time. Tell youself what you will but he actually does something no other politician in Australia does....he works for what his people want. He stands up for his areas beliefs and rarely have I seen him backflip. Sometimes to his own detriment. Like him or loathe him.....he is more fairdinkum than any of the other clowns we have.
