?

Do you think that Dr. Alexander is being honest about what he experienced during his NDE?

  3. Perhaps, but that does not mean that he understands the most likely implications of his NDE.

That is of course nonsense. there is absolutly no evidence that NDEs have any relevence to what actually happens after death. That is an absolute undeniable fact!

Who actually cares. No science is involved. You are perfectly free to believe any nonsense that suits your fancy. Science, evidence, and fact are however a totally different thing from wishful thinking.

And microtubes in the brain storing quantum information sounds plausable if you have zero education and just like to fondle pseudo scientific babble to get yourself warm fuzzies.

Does it ever strike you truebelievers as a bit odd that god has given us the NDEs as a so called teaser about the afterlife and yet seems totally unable or unwilling to actually bring anyone back from real death to provide actual proof of life after death. Any true believers want to offer an explanation for that weird bit of god behavior.

And no the Jesus myth doesn't count.

Your answer to my post is in complete ignorance of this hypothesis and ignores the work that hameroff does into this area .

It also ignores the recent finds that so far validate the hypothesis . Again you assert things on complete ignorance of the subject at hand

    https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1571064513001188

    Highlights

The Orch OR theory proposes quantum computations in brain microtubules account for consciousness.

Microtubule ‘quantum channels’ in which anesthetics erase consciousness are identified.

Evidence for warm quantum vibrations in brain microtubules is cited.

Interference of microtubule vibrations are ‘beat frequencies’ seen as EEG.

Court jester again your proving my point that when atheists spot any evidence that could even go indirectly against their atheism
They become so insecure that they refuse to thoroughly research the subject and start making assertions from ignorance

These scientific finds so far are in favor of orch or

Dennis we don’t know where that information goes to after death . Remember in their theory hameroff says that this hypothesis can fit with either a secular spirituality or a religious spirituality .

Since it’s quantum info I’d say it probably goes on to entangle with something greater then we can ever image because the evidence points to something g beyond this dimension .

Plus Dennis this hypothesis seems like the only viable hypothesis currently for consciousness as it can also be used to explain ndes in a potential scientific manner .

I believe it has already made between 5-10 testable predictions and doesn’t currently have anything that’s going against it .

Penrose is no slouch . I mean he was the PhD advisor for Stephen hawking and is professor emeritus of physics at oxford and has won numerous awards in his collaborative work with hawking .

Penrose is a giant in his field .

He is also an atheist and materialist but he’s a very open atheist that’s not hostile to religion . He’s willing to wait and follow the evidence to wherever it leads him like dr Antony flew

In a way... after our death i do think that we meet with Intelligence's who are far above any religion........
although.... I personally have chosen Messiah Yeshua - Jesus as my spiritual guide and Messiah through this lifetime and I want to follow Him even after I die......
